We absolutely loved our stayed at Hotel Ariston for the two weeks we were in Acqui Terme in July. It is a family run hotel. The rooms are clean and air conditioned. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and Marco (the owner and a sommelier) is an extremely kind host. Every evening, he introduced an excellent wine for our dinner, per our request. It was a great experience. The staff are also very friendly and kind. We highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and I spent 12 days at this lovely, family-run hotel. The service was excellent, and everyone was friendly and helpful.
The room was comfortable, spotlessly clean. The bed was quiet comfortable. The towels were incredible! Old school style- large, fluffy towels like in the old days!
The blow dryer was typically not great, (minor issue). Overall, we were thrilled and hope to go back soon.
Additionally, there was free parking, which we did not need.

The hotel is somewhat on the outskirt of the small town. Lots of elderly people visiting the baths. The rooms are a bit small as is the bathroom but it is clean. The girl at the reception was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good but typical big hotel food.

We stayed for a family reunion at this family owned hotel. Our family members have stayed here before. The rooms are very clean, beds are comfortable, good air conditioning, shabby chic decor. Breakfast is plentiful with lots of choices, especially soft boiled eggs and a great coffee ! Walking distance to everything the town has to offer.

LOCATION:
Excellent, right in the centre. Lots of places around to see and eat in. Parking space behind hotel also possible and convenient.
ROOMS:
Clean, but dated - with a nice view of the town. Room door did not close properly (!). Bathrooms clean and modern-ish. Wifi connection terrible - you had to re-connect every 10 minutes, Skype conversations not possible!
STAFF:
Family-run; mostly helpful, but we had to insist to get three copies of the Wifi code (they only give you one per device). Felt a bit "supervised" during breakfast and on the last day we saw the landlady putting back a yoghurt that somebody had not eaten back into the yoghurt pile (it's cool to recycle, but don't do it in front of guests!).
BREAKFAST:
Adequate, though continental. Nothing exciting. I thought Italian coffee was supposed to be amazing...?
OVERALL:
OK but a bit over-priced for the quality considering I had just stayed in better hotel for a lot less money.
