Lovely rooms but noisy destination
Lavendelbeeon 17/10/2016 11:09The benefits of the hotel are: situated close to climbing spots, restaurant/pizzeria directly affiliated, clean, large and friendly modern rooms with perfect facilities, good breakfast
Less points for these disadvantages: noisy area (directly at the local main road), staff is only speaking italian and french (no english), only a minimum of parking sites directly in front of the hotel available
Sleeping mattresses needs getting used to - not the best comfort at all, but summarized all tops and flops the result is that the value for money is pretty balanced and okay.
A good place with excellent local food.
Doug Don 14/10/2016 17:16We were in the region for climbing, and so it was great to find a hotel that was not far from our objective the next day. With little energy to look around for a restaurant, it was gratifying to discover that the hotel has a very good menu that is loaded with local specialities.
The road immediately in front of the hotel carries a lot of traffic going faster than it should - so ask for a quiet room at the back of the hotel away from the noisy traffic out front.
It is a family hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and the food is great with local specialties. A good place to stop if you don't have the energy to drive further over the San Bernardino.
