Reasonable stay
qianwenon 15/10/2017 12:50Reasonably clean room except the room for 4 beds is slightly small. Not enough walking space once 3 luggages occupy the floor.
Aircon was not working but the staff could only offer a fan as solution. Luckily it was autumn and weather was cool.
The breakfast was the same in all 3 days of our stay and it was not too good. But for the price, we can’t expect value for money buffet, but at least there should be variety but we see none.
The carpark lift was inconvenient to use for . parking but the valets were kind and patient to lead the directions and way. I would have hope they could take over the parking though.
The staff were not eloquent enough in English and that cause a lot of language barrier in communicating well in both parties.
The hotel is still using door keys and this is not user friendly.
Self-automated Laundry service is not available and paid laundry is expensive.
Wifi is working fine and fast.
Overall, this hotel still has a lot of improvement to take on.
Large room and beautiful lobby
Suibicleon 22/09/2017 04:31The hotel is about 10-13 minute walk from the Asahikawa train station. It has a huge and beautiful lobby...the staff were all very polite...they try very hard to speak English which was greatly appreciated.
The room itself was spacious with a full bed, a desk and two chairs. For a solo traveler, it was more than enough. The bed was very comfortable and clean.
Definitely would stay here again.
Another lovely stay
pl55on 05/08/2017 10:19This is my second visit to the hotel and it does not disappoint. The standard twin room was extremely spacious, air conditioner was working very well and water pressure very good. In all, we stayed 6 nights and really enjoyed the hotel's F&B.
The buffet breakfast offered a good enough selection, the all day dining restaurant was a nice place for afternoon tea or a meal, the Japanese restaurant offered a varied menu and great prices and the Edison bar was a relaxing place for pre or post dinner drinks with a great view of Asahikawa city.
The helpful service staff at the front desk and concierge made our stay really pleasant. Location of the hotel works well for us - short walk to Heiwa Dori Shopping Park/Street (although the mix of shops seem less exciting than 3 years ago) and Tokiwa Park and getting in and out by taxi without getting into any traffic jam.
Asahikawa is a really good base for doing the floral tour in summer and we intend to use it for our next visit to East Hokkaido - Abashiri/Utoro/Lake Akan - using trains and taxis.
Comfortable room but
CLLohon 30/07/2017 14:47Very classy hotel that oozes style and charm. A sense of historical grandiose in the atmosphere when one steps in. The room was small but comfortable. Our biggest grip with that place is the the air conditioner that does not respond. Hence we could not sleep well that night due to the hot room.
Breakfast was good though. Held in the hall, we love the selection of food
