Honeymoon stay

We had our wedding reception in Marietta and decided to stay here for our wedding night. What a great decision. Wendy made our stay extra special. She was so kind and accommodating. We highly recommend.
Peaceful and Relaxing

Just returned from a wonderful stay at the Ascot House. House was elegant and had old fashioned charm. Town was quaint and quiet...two restaurants within walking distance., which was a plus. Brought our dog with us and he had an absolute blast..pretty sure he thought this vacation was set up for him :) My only regret is that Wendy was not there. Wish we would have known in advance (would have rebooked for future date) as we were looking very forward to meeting her as the reviews about her were outstanding. Part of the reason I chose this B&B. The breakfast (which my hubby was looking so forward to) was not homemade...mostly frozen stuff and precooked bacon. A downside of Wendy not being there. However, that really is my only complaint as the woman (Sherri) covering for her was extremely nice and helpful and we would definitely return and look forward to meeting Wendy in the future. Each room has a fireplace which we're looking forward to using in the winter. I would recommend.
Wonderful, as always

You will totally enjoy you visit. The house, built in 1813, has been loveingly remodeled. The rooms are large and bright with working fireplaces. The breakfast is outstanding served on Wedgewood. The common rooms are comfortable with a large selection of reading material. It is in walking distance to some great restaurants, but the real gem is Wendy, the innkeeper, the perfect hostess, and her attentive staff. Love it here!
Can't say enough..............

This is our fourth time staying with Wendy and she always delivers top notch service. Her breakfast's are amazing, as well as her scones. We've ordered her British tea twice and I can't say enough about it!! Everything she does she does it so well, going above and beyond. We hear that staying at the B&B during the Christmas season is beautiful, so that will hopefully be our next visit. And believe me..................there will be a next visit!!
What a delight

Amazing! This was our first B&B experience and it was lovely. We were recommended the Ascot House by my Aunt and Uncle who are frequent visitors.
First, Wendy, the owner is absolutely the best! She is very inviting, friendly, caring and always wants you to have the best stay no matter what. When we first got there, we asked about some recommendations for restaurant to eat dinner at. She gave us a few options, made a reservation for us and supplied a 20% off coupon that she had sitting around. The breakfast that she made in the morning was marvelous as well! The night before, she told us what she was making and if there was anything we couldn't have or and changes that we would like, she would be glad to make some changes to our meals.
The room that I booked was a last minute deal and I booked it a week or so in advanced so it was the last one available. We stayed in the Dorset room which, and Wendy warned us, did not have an attached bathroom. Though we did have our own private bathroom that nobody else used but it was in the hallway. All other rooms have their own bathroom in the room. No two rooms are a like and they are all beautiful. When we go again, we would upgrade from the Dorset room though.
Now, the trains. Yes, the B&B is located next to an active railroad. And as mentioned, the trains do not have a set schedule and can run very late at night and sometimes not at all. We did have a night where the trains went by quite a bit which I could imagine would be difficult for some people.
The location of the B&B is great. We walked around the nice little town at night and it was very peaceful.
