Old and poor maintained apartment. Carpet is worn out. Bathroom gave out not so pleasant smell and hot water took a long time come on. Maybe the room had not been occupied for a long time. Fridge smells too. Worst of all, the so-called King size bed is made up by 2 single mattress, so there's a bump in the middle, so uncomfortable! Pillow is the thinnest I had came across. The one star is for the convenience location and that's that.

Location of the hotel is very convenient as it is very near to train stations and eating joints nearby. Stayed here for a week on official travel to Shanghai. The suite was very spacious with one bedroom, one small drawing-room and a separate section for study/work. It also has all basic facilities...small kitchen, microwave, washing machine etc. Breakfast was very basic. There is no room service in this hotel. They have one restaurant in the hotel from where you can get some food. But this hotel has many nearby eating joints.

Located just next to train station make it pretty assessable to the whole city and is just few min walk to 新天地 for restaurants and pubs.
Its a studio apartment therefore they have gotten microwave, washing machine, refrigerator and stove for you. It is will be a great place for visitors who plan to stay here for a week or 2.
Get your own breakfast from the Street of Shanghai is definitely better then the normal standard hotel breakfast.
Overall is a wonderful stay however if all the staffs can be more generous with their greetings and smiles they should be awarded 1 more star.

Hotel is ideally located, walking distance to most of the attractions, just next to the famous Xintiandi. The rooms with the Kitchenette and change room are good size, perfect for a family trip. The down side is the poor and expensive breakfast. But the hotel is connected to a nice mall with plenty of breakfast options, so no worries. The service level is average, staff needs to be more welcoming and smiling.

Ascott Huai Hai Road Shanghai is v conveniently located along the busy street of Huai Hai Road where all the luxurious boutiques can be found.
Within walking distance to many roadside eateries whereby the popular grilled / bbq little lobsters are sold.
