Clean and comfortable stay. Staff was very kind. Wifi didn't work in our room, but excellent connection in the hall. We stayed outside the city centre as it was too expensive, and this place was a little more affordable. There were frequent city buses to/from the airport (16) and to/from the city centre (1,11,13,16,41,44) with a bus stop right in front of the house.

Staff was absent except when checking in and wanted payment then. Very basic rooms. Just a few restaurants in area with nothing found open for breakfast. Not walkable to city centre need to take bus or cab. Odd there was a Maserati parked there though. Only four tight parking spots.

Some reviews here seems to relate to Ashling HOTEL. This B&B (sic)is very central in Drumcondra Road does NOT serve breakfast. Its sign-- WiFi etc also has a tea cup which normally signifies that Breakfast is provided. Here it shows that there is a jug in the room.
The first words from the staff member when we arrived were, "you pay now" and "no breakfast". The room was small but clean and quite. TV very small.

I was greeted at 5.30pm by a lady in her pyjamas at the front door. I was taken through to the kitchen area to pay for my room which I did no questions. It was only on viewing my room did I regret having paid upfront.......my room was a bed in a loo! I asked if there were any other rooms available and I was told no. I then overheard a new guest arrive with no booking ask for a room for the night. They were told yes they had availability. I approached the lady and told her I had overheard her offer a new guest a room when I had been told I could not change rooms out of the loo. She then told me that the booking for the new guest was for tomorrow not tonight. I was ok with this until the gentlemen came back into the room saying he was just "parking his car and getting some food first before checking in tonight". I pointed out that the lady had obviously lied to me twice now. I was then given a large room where the table light did not work, the blinds did not work properly, the plug sockets were not working and it had a large draft, however, it was not a bed in a loo! I was then moved for 2 nights to a small box room where all the amenities worked but was on the front of the house so was very noisy but was better than the previous rooms.
Unfortunately due to poor staff and poor rooms and a room that I seriously cannot believe is even legal to rent out I cannot recommend this place.
It is not cheap, the rooms are not good and bit is not a B&B as there is no breakfast either. Overall terrible experience at this place!

No breakfast this owner is codding people and ripping them off, this property was advertised as a b&b but does not serve breakfast.friends of mine booked this b&b and were really disappointed when they said that they did not serve breakfast
