We stayed 3 nights in October 2009...
It is a warm ...Anatolian hotel..

The food was good..

We bought olives from the area..

The rooms are standart..but provide basic needs..

I liked the beach....

It is near to Kaz Mountains area..

We felt ambivalance about this hotel

Hotel is very cost effective.Rooms are comfortable but not luxurious.Hotel is clean enough but not shiny and room service works only when you make them clean your room. On the other hand there is free breakfast,lunch,tea time and dinner and the restaurant is fairly good.I couldnt say tahta this hotel is very good but i think it is better than average.A total ambivalance...

Perfect nature, the best location

perfect area, perfect nature, perfect sea, perfect beach, perfect historical region and perfect hotel. everythings perfect. How can I say here only one thing is bad. Why the people going to antalya or bodrum or marmaris I dont know. The people must come here definitly. must see around. gelibolu halfisland and troy. Troy is lovers magic. Hotel not small. good location. clean. the people care. and good all inklusive consept. very nice. We used 3 hotels in here. Garden, beach and nazlıhan.perfect hotels

Tried to scam us

We booked this hotel via the internet the night before we arrived in Assos. We knew it wasn't going to be 5 star, but at least clean with food and wifi free.
When we arrived we were put into a room that was extremely old, out the back, where the door fell off the shower and there were two single beds (we had booked a double) and it was tiny.
We spoke to the man showing us his room and he told us (in broken english) that they were fully booked, this was all they had and that he didn't speak English.
After crying, I went back to reception to say that I could not stay in that room and we either had to be moved or given a refund and we would find somewhere else to stay.
After speaking to the owner/manager (who spoke very good English) we were finally put in the room that we paid for. She seemed quite angry with her staff for putting us in a different room - but maybe that's the scam.
Once we were given the room we paid for, the room was as we expected. Functional, clean and okay for a night.
The food was okay, but in a food country, it was the worst meals we had.
As a western woman I wouldn't advise swimming in the pool either unless you are okay with being stared at by all the other guests. It was not a comfortable experience all round and we were happy to be only staying a night. We certainly did not enjoy the seaside 'experience' however.

Don't understand the other reviews . . .

We stayed in this hotel as part of a small conference (with free rooms!). It was just fine -- even more than fine. I'd call it very pleasant, with clean, stark rooms, just the sort one would want at the beach. They even have small balconies. The property is pleasant, and very close to a lovely beach. Breakfast is good, and the staff very nice. They don't speak much English (actually, I quite liked that!). It's also right next to an excellent ice cream place. Maybe the hotel has cleaned up lately, or maybe there's some story going on with the other reviewers. In any case, I was very pleasantly surprised by the property.
