Astoria Park Hotel really know how to spoil a hungry cyclist. Spotless breakfast, polite and understanding staff and a great location slightly off down town stress. Room service worked out perfect and the only thing I can find can complain about was a tricky control panel for the room AC.

Stayed for a week just now- 24 - 31 May.
Hotel is spotless- linen and towels changed regularly. Breakfast buffet was exceptional and evening meal had always salad starter followed by a choice of pasta dishes for 1st course and various meats and fish for 2nd course.
Desserts were a work of art.
Staff very friendly and helpful -contrary to some comments. Maybe you get back what you give.
Pool is stunning against amazing mountain backdrop.
Definitely recommend this hotel and the town of Riva.

booked two rooms , a double and a junior suite . Rooms were fine , the suite had a large balcony with good views although it was above the bar and with the windows open ( as the air con did not cool due to too early in the season ) it was noisy . Breakfast excellent , dining room a little soulless for dinner . Staff excellent , bike hire a must and spa was ok
Free parking available behind the hotel and plenty of outside space

The staff did not seem to be organised and were not that helpful. The gave us keys to the wrong room to start with. We were served mouldy olives in the bar and the spa staff could not speak a word of English so got very confusing. Our room was in the outside pool building and very noisy as next to a driveway. Other than that, the grounds are nice and the spa very relaxing. Be careful by the spa pool though as the floor is dangerously slippery!

We were at this Hotel for a Weekend.
The late check-in was average, the servant missed out to point the way to the breakfast room and spa.
The spa is not worth the extra 100€ per person. It offered only one sauna, no really cold shower and not outside relax area. The spa is very loud and not suitable for a super relaxing time.
The room itself was very small and lout (bad isolation to the street). No complementary water on the room and also the room looked quite worn. In the windowfree bathroom was no working fan.
Overall
The Hotel is ok. We expect more from a 4s Star Hotel with advertised spa, but for a short stay this Hotel is not too bad.
The breakfast is very good (except the servants are not very friendly)
