Actually returned for a second stay on our return trip to Cromwell. Aptly named, it was “gold class” motel accommodation. Very comfortable, clean and well maintained. Reliable wifi, although could not connect my wife’s tablet to internet. Happy to recommend

Had a one night stay. Check in was smooth and friendly. Room was spotlessly clean. The bottle of chilled water in the fridge was nice. Not much in the way of an outlook but would definitely recommend if your passing through Cromwell for a night.

We appreciated the warm friendly welcome. Everything very clean and comfortable . The beds were comfortable which was a big concern as my friend and I are in our 80 ‘ s so we would certainly stay again..

My friend and I stayed in this very comfortable motel a few nights ago and we were so impressed we are staying again on our return journey. The beds are very comfortable in this well appointed and extremely clean motel. The owners are so friendly and welcoming. Thoroughly recommended.

We arrived to this motel quite late as we had a long day behind us – we started in the morning with visits to Franz Josef and Fox glaciers that were ca 350km away, on the other side of the Southern Alps. The reason for this extra long day was the fact that Cromwell was the closest town (towards south) that had vacancies.
But we were really glad that we chose this place – it was exactly that we needed after a fantastic and eventful day. The check-in was swift and the staff was very helpful and made us very welcome. The room was new, large, tasteful and impeccably clean. Kitchenette had everything we needed (and then some), bathroom was quite modern and the room even had a private terrace. Car park was quite small but we managed to get a spot (I am not sure if there are as many parking spots as there are rooms). And the most important thing – it was really quiet at night.
The location of the motel is very good – very close to the centre of Cromwell. There were also some restaurants close by but as we arrived late, they were all unfortunately closed. All in all a great experience and I would definitely stay there again.
