The manager here is arrogant and rude - Felt like you were a guest in someones home not a paying customer _ was a very average experience and don't think we will stay at or recommend a B&B again considering others reviewers are all giving it 5 stars.

What a relaxing and enjoyable stay we had. Maria, our hostess, couldn't have been more accommodating or kind. Nothing was too much trouble and we even had a welcome bar of chocolate! The room was clean and cosy and extremely comfortable. We would really recommend!

This is one of the best B & Bs we have ever stayed at in NZ or Australia. The rooms are luxurious and the whole property is very well-designed and has a great feel. The beds are comfortable and everything is immaculately clean. Maria, the host, is superb, with a great sense of humour and is very accommodating. Breakfast is excellent. The house is very quiet. There are lots of special touches to make you feel welcome and like you are being treated. I highly recommend the whole experience at Parklands and we will definitely stay again.

Amazing place to say, lovely service, best eggs in New Zealand! Loved staying here! Very helpful hosts. Close to the beach - nice walks to beach. Lovely interior design and comfortable. My parents loved the fine china used for breakfast! The simple things in life!

On arrival you are greeted by Maria who is Polish. She shows you around and makes sure that you are comfortable and that you know where everything is. Every morning she checks that you are OK when you go into the dining room for breakfast. The rooms are spacious and airy and extremely clean so far as to say spotless. In addition to the usual soaps, toiletries, drinks etc, you have a lovely large bar of organic dark chocolate on arrival. Breakfast time is very relaxed and the crockery and cutlery are elegant. Maria makes eggs any way that you want them and they are always cooked perfectly. There is a selection of breads/toast, cereals, and meats and cheese too. I can recommend At Parkland Place as a relaxing and welcoming place to stay. 10/10
