The rooms had low standard, were dirty and even had ants. We couldn't have food in the cupboards (not even in bags), since it was eaten by the ants. Oh, and they claim to have wi-fi - they don't (at least not in our room). The location is really boring. I guess the pool-area is somewhat nice. Not worth your money. Go someplace else.

A beautiful building, the garden provides you with privacy, sun or relaxation, depending on what you want. But it's a real apart hotel, no connection with staff and you never feel the hotel part of the name. The rooms need a make over, especially badrooms. High season it's full anyway and that is what you will experience.

Me and my partner visited this "hotel" in June and it was a big dissapointement for both of us. The rooms were cleaned only once during our seven day stay and it was on the day 6. On the first day we were very unlucky and managed to forget our key inside the room. After being unable to regain the access to the room with the replacement key a member of staff decided to regain access by breaking in to the room through the balcony window. To do that he had to smash two layers of glass. I was asked to help him break the glass if I could and I did it in good faith. At the end of our stay we were faced with the massive bill for the window and were told that everything was done with our consent hence we should pay. Our attempts to explain that we never asked them to break the window and that there were much cheaper options available such as just breaking and replacing the lock (not mentioning the fact that hotel should be able to regain access when the key is lost without destroying the place) were just ignored. After spending some time arguing with women on reception the more senior member of the hotel staff told us that there is nothing to worry about and we can leave - the hotel insurance will take care of costs. Three months later without any prior notification my account was charged by the hotel for the full amount of the window £195 and by this time it was obviously impossible to prove anything.
So, if you want to stay in the place which is cleaned once a week and where you will be treated like a cash cow - Atalaia Sol is exactly what you are looking for.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were so welcoming and friendly. They gave us great advise on where to visit.
Our apartment was nice and spacious and extremely clean.
The pool area was very nice and relaxing not a bit noisy.
The wifi worked very well.
We had a car to travel around and I would highly recommend this as the hotel is on the outskirts of the town.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Reception closes at 7pm and we were to arrive late but staff were very friendly and arranged for us to easily collect our key and check in was very straightforward the next morning. Very nice pool (although was very cold!) and outdoor area. Looks just like it does on the pictures and a great place to relax. Very quiet place which is what we needed. We had a room on the bottom floor that led out straight out onto the pool area which we thought was a nice touch. Rooms were a bit outdated but kept clean which is all we needed really. We didn't spend much time in the apartment but it had great facilities, even a small oven to use if needed to! It is out of town so is better for people who enjoy the peace and quiet and have access to a car. Good value for money. Downside was the fridge which was a bit noisy!
