It is my second time in Granda. In October I was with my Student's in Granada ERASMUS + project for Carpenters from Poland. Localization is near the Albacin and close to Alhambra. Room was clean with the great wiew Sierra Nevada Mountain.

Love the location that have the hotel. It was a little laughing at night because it was staying near the room a group of young people but for the price and location it's good. Walking distance of all the historical places and shopping.

Superbe location nice and clean and large room with airconditioning good bathroom situated in the gran via wich leads to all the citys monuments and transportations

You can't fault Hostel Atenas for the location, excellent staff and great value. We stayed for 4 nights in a superior double room at €168. The room was clean and serviced every day. It's within walking distance of the cathedral, Albacin and the Alhambra. During check in, the staff were extremely helpful and immeditely pointed out the best places to eat and points of interest, providing a city map to help with directions. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. Although there are no restaurant facilities, there were a few reasonably priced and well stocked vending machines in a lounge area and a couple of nearby cafes where you could buy a reasonably priced breakfast. Our room was on the ground floor, and near to the main road, which meant we couldnt leave the windows open due to noise, however, this wasn't a huge problem to us; I am sure that if we had requested a change of room this would have been done. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone travelling to Granada.

I will start with the positives before the negatives..
Firstly location wise it is pretty central. Quicker to walk to Plaza Nueva on Calle Elvira rather than on Gran Via. The room we had (103) was a simple twin room with ensuite. Very basic with just a tv and no safe. Dont expect any shampoo!
Testament to the people who take rooms there, when coming back to the hotel after a long day out (from 10am til 8pm) when walking to our bedroom door we noticed in the distance our bedroom door was wide open. We obviously expected the worst - everything taken. Now, fortunately, nothing was. Our passports were still there and our beds freshly made. This was the proof that we hadnt left the door open ourselves but the cleaning person.
Reception and manager put up a fuss before even saying the word "sorry". They claimed that the cleaner only "shuts the door and doesnt push it to double check it is lost". My trust with the hotel was gone after this point. They didnt offer us anything (we were just lucky we had our passports!) and still no over the top apology. They actually didnt really care.
Our trip to Granada was excellent. The hotel was the only negative.
