This hotel is a hidden gem. I am fortunate to have found it. The staff was superb. Great shopping in the market and Athinas street to Monastiraki Square. The hotel staff sold us tickets for the hop on hop off bus which was a wonderful way to see Athens. Wish we had planned a longer stay. Try the spicy olives in the market. The best shopping was on the adjacent streets near the hotel. We traveled in Greece, Israel, Malta and Rome, but this hotel was our favorite. There is a great restaurant a few steps away with souvlaki and skewered meats. We are planning to go back and stay longer.

Useful city centre hotel for short stay sightseeing trip. We arrived on foot from nearby metro station. I suspect parking would be an issue if coming by car? However the hotel was very convenient for exploring the ancient sites on foot. Good breakfast too

Good breakfasts and fantastic neighborhood with great views of the Parthenon from the rooftop. Would stay here again although the rooms and bath are on the small side. Great open air market right outside of the door, great spices and specialty stores. Market is closed on weekends

For the money this is a great hotel. If you arrive at night some of the surrounding streets might seem a little intimidating but it does take you a little of the tourist track and you see another bit of Athens, having said that you are only 10minutes away from the major sites.
When we walked into the hotel we were pleasently surprised. The woman on reception was very friendly and helpful. Our room was small (but no smaller than many) but compensated for this with an amazing view of the Actopolis which was in fact even better at night when lit up.
We went up to the roof top bar but it was closed (we may have been too early) the view of all of Athens spread out was worth seeing though.
There is no kettle in the room but you can at least can free tea and coffee from the ground floor. The bathroom was small and looked like the shower would get everything wet but was well designed and was a great shower without loads of spillage. the room was very clean and the beds comfy (although would have prefered a double rather than two singles pushed together.
Breakfast also exceeded expectations for the price. It was very good, Greek yogurt and some fruit and cereals and other Greek specialities, bread, croissants, cake, bacon, juice etc. Nothing more we could have wanted.

I stayed at the ACS from Oct 25 - Nov 2,. The hotel decor is modern There are only 7 rooms per floor, very little hallway noise. The only complaint about the room, 407, is that it is beside the elevators, some mechanical noise. Partial view of the Acropolis. Excellent location, all the main sites are within easy walking distance. Breakfast was good. Athinas st has a wide variety of shops from pet stores to hard ware stores. There is a grocery store close to the hotel, along with the market. A small fridge is in the room. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. The neighbourhood is fine. I would stay again.
