Much to like and a few quirky bits.

We really enjoyed our stay - staff were good, wifi was reliable and the room was fine. We stayed on a lower floor with a view of the Acropolis, just slightly blocked by a tree - no doubt it's wholly spectacular from the rooms higher up.
When I booked, I'd somehow come to believe that it was close to the Acropolis but it's a good 2k walk - wasn't a problem, even in 33 degree mid-morning sun, but you'd want to be expecting it. Great spot to hike up Mount Lycabettus however - the view of Athens from the top is awesome.
The hotel's restaurant offers view of the Acropolis across the city that are just stunning and the pool on the roof, though small, is simply lovely.
The quirky bits - a frosted glass door on a loud self-closing hinge to our bathroom, a bit of a labyrinth to get to the lift to the pool, a shower that had more controls than a 787 and balcony doors that couldn't be pulled closed from the outside. Ok - first world problems.
The staff were good, including a call from the concierge to see if we needed to check-in and print boarding passes (we did) and to offer a wake up call.
The Best Staff Ever

This hotel is not a fancy hotel but it is a great location, great staff, GREAT breakfast that is included. They have housekeeping, safes, Front desk people who are incredibly helpful and watchful over you. Many people kinda freaked out when they found I was traveling a lone. This hotel and its staff made me feel safe and at home. They also speak English rather well.
Excellent hotel in a superb central location

We are a family of 4 with a teenager and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Unlike many hotels in Europe,we were all able to stay in the same room and did not feel constricted. Our room had a balcony overlooking the pedestrian street in front. The staff were helpful and the elderly gentleman at the reception went out of his way to help us in a tricky matter. Syntagma Metro station is less than 5 mins walk and Ermou Street a further 2 mins. There are scores of cafés in close vicinity, however a super market like Carrefour was a good 10 mins walk. Nice locale and excellent value for money in the peak tourist season.

I would say the best thing about the hotel was its location and yes the staff nice and polite they were very very cooperative and prompt with their service.
Hotel was at extremely good location surrounded by high end brands in between Louis Vuitton and Prada stores with Ralph Laurel Christian Dior stores right outside our hotel My husband HATED THAT.
Syntagma Square was at 1 min distance the main square to take. Taxis were at 1 min distance or even less but always there. Ermou street the main street for branded shopping like H&M and Zara was at 7 mins walking distance so everything was close by.Plaka market at 15 mins walk and Acropolis again about 10 mins.
For hotel rooms were big in comparison to European hotels yes hotel was little dark but it doesn’t really matter because you come to hotel to sleep for couple of hours.
Breakfast was okay not great but no problems at all.
WIFI yes didn’t work at all throughout our stay.
Do not stay at this hotel.

This is a terrible hotel. It is very dark and dingy. The carpets (yes carpets) in the hallways and the rooms reek of rancid smoke. I do not know why they still have old curtains that are barely hanging onto the curtain rods! They smell too! And they are very dirty and dusty. The hotel needs to be cleaned and the curtains, bedspreads, and carpets just removed. And they should open the windows for all the beautiful Greek sunshine! The stairwells are so dark one could trip. They also CHARGED US FOR GREEK COFFEES IN THE MORNING! The breakfasts are in a dark dingy room, and asking for a Greek coffee seemed to put them over the edge. That has never happened to me before in Greece. They are banking on tourists staying there because of the location. Do not fall for the trap, it is too depressing.
