Surprise, surprise

I have to admit, when I saw the outside of this hotel i thought, oh no! Boy was I surprised. The room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was great, and I would stay there again if I'm in Hutch!
Not Bad, but in need of some upgrades

While the room itself in this hotel wasn't bad, the common areas in the hotel were in need of repair. The hallway carpets were frayed and needed to be cleaned, the pool needed some attention to the plaster which was rough and the doors to the outside couldn't be opened with the keys( even after we had our keys replaced). There were several vending machines that were broken and also the drinking fountains. Even one of the breakfast coffee pots was broken. For us, one of the worst things was that we had booked this hotel for the hot tub and it too, was broken.
On the flip side, you get what you pay for and this was an inexpensive room so, for the price, it was ok.
Amazing 2 days

We arrived Friday evening for a 2 day stay the Sunday being our wedding anniversary., Marie the Receptionist could not have been more helpful. Our room was a non smoking with a King size bed.. Lots of room and very clean, I would say A+ We had a great nights sleep, Breakfast was cooked to perfection, and lots of it, I know they are still doing upgrades and in part this shows, the hot tub was not of service.. Joe who took our bags up to our room was very friendly and we found this with all the staff. We hope to stay again either Thanksgiving or Christmas, but definably will be back when the British family come over to stay. Thank you all for making our weekend so restful and we will see you again.
Probably never again.

I say probably because we attend events several times a year in Hutchinson. Depending on the availability in other hotels, me might be forced to stay here again, but it will be under protest.
We were literally in the back corner of the hotel. This was somewhat okay because of access to the exit, but the putting golf place next door was kind of obnoxious. Nothing the hotel can do about it, but pick a different room if offered that corner.
The room was disgustingly humid. Swimming suits hung up to dry in the bathroom were still wet 12 hours later. The bathroom mirror took forever to unfog, and the fan in the bathroom was so anemic it should be removed. It made noise, but that's about it.
In the bathroom, the sink was updated, the toilet built for a 5 year old, and the shower was so off on the hot/cold issue that finding a medium between "Antarctica" and "Mordor" was a challenge. Not a challenge I wanted after a long and stressful day.
The water pressure was incredible, and literally the only reason this isn't a one-star review. It felt good to me, but my husband swore it blasted two layers of skin off him.
There is one outlet in the bathroom. There is half an outlet near the window in the bedroom. This leaves me two questions. Do I iron my shirts in front of the window or in the bathroom? Where are three individuals supposed to charge their phones and plug in a CPAP machine?
We charged two phones in the bathroom, one in the half outlet near the window, and had to unplug the alarm clock for the CPAP.
There were NO USB options on the tv, and I'll get to that one in a minute.
This is NOT ideal. Electrical needs a SERIOUS upgrade. We are in the 21st century and have a need for more outlets...Not the 1980s where only one outlet was needed for the iron...
The tv channels were snowy. All of them. This is an HDMI flat screen TV, it shouldn't have a 1970s picture.
Wifi was sluggish and pitiful. We could upgrade, but it was just easier to use the unlimited data with my cell provider. Think dialup speeds from 1999.
I was really hoping and crossing my fingers that the pool would redeem the slow wifi, weird shower, Amazon jungle humidity, no outlet having room.
Nope.
The beds in the room were lumpy and hard. I woke up with back pain and hip pain. Maybe I should have slept on the floor. Couldn't wait to get home and sleep in a normal bed.
I'm not sure where other reviewers are saying the pool was warm. It was a Polar Plunge. Outside temp was mid 90s. I think I lost a half a pound from shivering. Didn't stay long because hypothermia is a thing.
They don't want you to take towels from the pool area. This is a problem considering the "bath" towels in the bathroom are about twice the size of a hand towel. Couple that with a perpetually damp room, and you either call the front desk for 8 more towels for three people, go without a shower the next day because of no dry towel, or break the rules and take the pool towels back to your room.
Hot tub was closed. I'm not sure why, but it was a huge disappointment. I really could have used the massage from it. Settled for a hot shower with amazing water pressure instead.
The pool itself was a little murky and had....Stuff floating in it. Clump of hair. A tree leaf from outside. A couple things I wasn't sure what it was. My skin didn't burn when I went in though, but this is good and bad. Good for me because I'd only taken half a dose of benadryl to combat the chlorine allergy.
Bad because it means the pool had no chlorine in it.
Think about that for a minute.
If the hotel has gone through renovations, they missed the room we were in.
Oh, I almost forgot. The whole place is a maze and the map is useless. To get from the back corner of the hotel to the breakfast area to get a cup of coffee that tasted like burnt motor oil, you should either use an app such as "map my ride" or leave a trail of Twizzlers and Reeces Pirces so you can find your way back to your room.
Next time in Hutchinson, we'll pay a little more for a different hotel and hope for better results.
Sorry, management. Truth stinks sometimes.
Not a place I'd stay at again

I tried using the television and it would not work properly.
So I was given another room.
The motel directory lists lots of channels, but the directory is out of date.
I did not get the channels it promised.
My bed is NOT very comfortable.
The ceilings in the hallways are maybe 7 feet high. Very claustrophobic feeling.
The parking lot needs lots of repairs.
I tried signing into their Wi-Fi, and my phone tells me NOT to trust it.
So I went elsewhere to use Wi-Fi.
Glad I'm only staying 1 night.
The place looks more like a movie theater from the front, and yard work has been severely neglected.
