Lovely room, warm and spacious and comfortable bed. Nice shower room. The restaurant has the most amazing view across the Morvan valley. The food was excellent and well cooked, the staff very friendly and helpful.

This was a return visit for us. Very charming setting. Not the best parking, try to find a space in the road as the car park is very steep. Friendly reception and we were taken up to our room, a larger double with a single bed in it. Unfortunately the bed and pillows were not comfortable, the bed being soft, the pillows lumpy and the duvet plain weird, lumps of filling in pockets. Such a shame as our previous visit was much better.
Very small showroom but it did the job.
We dined in the restaurant on hake. Perfectly adequate but uninspiring and a fondant with was more brioche than cake. Nonetheless very tasty.

Stayed for one night and was very pleased with the hotel in general. Rooms smart and clean with modern fittings. En suite was functional if a little on the small side (that is only to be expected with retrofitting en suites in older hotels) but it did not cause us any problems. We did not try the restaurant but it looked good. We would love to stay here again and try the restaurant, if and when we find ourselves in the area again.

We didn't have too much time to enjoy the facilities here as we were on a busy business schedule arriving well after midnight. The sky in the area was beautiful as there are few streetlights that time of night (for the astronomers among you). The room I had overlooked the pool and had a view to the east so there was a wonderful sunrise. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was simple but adequate. The price was very reasonable.

In the centre of the small town Chateau Chinon, this hotel has a pleasant ambience with all useful amenities. For us, that means particularly restaurant and free wifi access. Our room was upstairs with a very pleasant outlook over the nearby valley (though access by the staircase was steep and narrow). The bathroom and all facilities were clean and well maintained. Overall, this is a very practical and pleasant stopover.
