Charming hotel located across from a beautiful city park. The facility was lovely. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic. The staff was remarkably accommodating and helpful. Good price. Free parking was available. Near good restaurants.

The Plateau is a vibrant, exciting part of Montreal--free of the crass tourism of the old quarter--but, as it is largely residential, it has few hotels. l'Auberge has a fabulous location on the beautiful La Fontaine Park, but I was surprised to discover how modest it is, especially for the price. The lobby is filled with the breakfast buffet furniture plus a couple of lounge chairs. Our room on the first floor was down a grim narrow corridor lined with plastic doors and carpeted with a thin industrial material. The small room, that looked into the parking lot was furnished with a mismatch of cheap furniture you might buy at a box store, as perhaps were the sliding, mirrored closet doors. The bed squeaked. The room was just what you would expect in an inexpensive motel. If these things don't bother you, the hotel does provide the essentials, including an reasonable breakfast.

We spent 3 nights at this charming hotel across from a beautiful city park. Our room was comfortable, the breakfast delicious, and the staff was very helpful. We were a short walk from some delicious restaurants and free parking was available.

Spent one night, clean, comfortable, fantastic location, good price, we had bikes, they stored them, AND a car, street parking only in this area, but staff were totally on top of parking regulations and making sure we were legally and conveniently parked. Very nice breakfast, comfortable room, and shout out to Tarik and Jonathan in particular, both went out of their way in helping us figure out some details of our stay in Montreal, and that is the culture of this place--I observed staff being equally engaged (and patient) with other guests as well. Highly recommended.

Booked easily online while enroute to Montreal. Room was just as it was represented online. Large, clean, two person jacuzzi tub, fridge, and roof terrace! Breakfast was very good- so many options, including quiche. Both evening and morning front desk clerks were polite and helpful- even let us leave our car there in back parking spot and explained how to take public transit to Mont Royal (worth the hike up!) and the old port. Would definitely stay here again.
