Very friendly reception, comfortable and clean rooms. Good wifi, lots of electric plugs for charging everything we travel with these days. Nice to have restaurant on-site as its a bit out in the country. Food was good for dinner and breakfast.

We stayed here on our way home from our French home. Sadly, we were the only guests, but this did not detract from the pleasure of our stay. We were given a most warm welcome, shown to our outside chalet type bedroom, helped with our luggage, shown where to park and given all the information we needed. Room basic, comfortable bed, but nothing lacking. Dinner was excellent. We have eaten in Logis de France for many years all over France and this was one of the best we have had - wonderful tastes, innovative and served by the lovely proprietor. The chef was a lady, and what a chef! Breakfast equally good.

An excellent location for visiting the horse stud and racecourse at Arnac-Pompadour. Everybody was so friendly and helpful from the initial arrival at reception to the restaurant waitresses in the evening. Also the accommodating breakfast next morning, and the lady who was doing the domestic duties in the rooms who advised us about a local attraction. A very pleasant stay.

We have driven past several times without going in as to be honest the buildings are not as appealing as many restaurants in the area, however glad we did. The service was exceptional, attentive, polite etc. We had a set 3 course menu @ 21 Euro and 0.50cl Pichet of Bergerac house red wine @ 6.5 Euro, and were very very pleased with the taste and presentation of all courses. Food was exceptionaly tasty. We will definitely eat there again when we are next in the area. Please note we cannot comment on the hotel only the restaurant. Don't be put off by the rather dated looking building and we are sure you will be impressed with what you eat ;-)

When you first arrive the outside of the building appears a little tired. When you book in at reception you are handed the TV remote however, you are not told to unplug the TV for 10 seconds to capture a signal - there I have just saved you a return trip to reception! The staff are all very friendly & accomodating. Some of the chalet staff are British & are a wealth of local knowledge. The room is best descibed as basic, functional and above all very clean. The bed was comfortable. Continental breakfast is optional at six euros, it is worth the expense & you are permitted as many portions of food as you wish, in fairness it is at least a 15 minute drive to Pompadour in order to find breakfast which could prove to be quite expensive. We did not try out the covered pool, or dine in the restaurant. The hotel is situated in a rural location surrounded by apple orchards and livestock. If you leave the hotel turn right & first right again then stop at the very pretty village Segur-le-Chateau. There is a tourist office here. Plenty of photo opportunities, especially the working water mill.
