easy access to downtown by foot or bus. Friendly service and comfortable bed and bath. Surprisingly quiet with a window to the back. Only down side: no elevator, need to walk up. Breakfast is limited to $9 per person at the restaurant across the street. Neighbourhood provided some interesting shops and restaurants just steps away.

The bed was super-comfortable and the location was pretty good: within walking distance of the old town and in an interesting neighbourhood with lively restaurants and bars. The bathroom could use an update but was serviceable. Breakfast was served in a restaurant across the street. Seems like this is a recent thing.

The front desk had the most charming and helpful front desk staff I have encountered in a long time. I got to practice my French and they were most encouraging. The hotel had been sold 2 days prior to our stay (and after we had booked), so they had discontinued the breakfast in the hotel. Instead, we went to the hotel across the street, which had a restaurant. We ordered from the menu and they covered the first $9 of the price, which was more than adequate. Parking was inexpensive for a city and about one block away in an outdoor parking lot, which was fine. We were close enough to Old Quebec to walk there and back, and only 2 blocks from a strip of restaurants which stretched about 4 blocks. Many of the restaurants were quite reasonable, especially when compared to the tourist area. The rooms were quiet and comfy. Overall, a good value for Quebec City.

This is an older hotel, close to old Quebec and within walking distance of everything. Yes, it's an older building but the rooms were spotless, had huge ceilings, were decorated with beautiful art, and were so comfortable.
I shared a suite with my brother and his wife. They had the extremely large bedroom and I was on a sofa bed in the huge living room. THIS WAS THE BEST SOFA BED I HAVE EVER SLEPT ON!! We shared a very large bathroom with two doors, one opening from the bedroom and one from the living room.
In the morning, we went into the basement for breakfast where we were offered a choice of two breakfasts, cooked to order by two lovely older French women. I don't usually like scrambled eggs but these were the best I"ve ever eaten.
The clerks at the front desk were friendly and had lots of advice.

This hotel is great for accommodating cyclists and worked well for our group of 15. We had to climb stairs to get to our third floor room, but it was reasonable exercise after climbing very steep stairs to get to the Old Quebec City sites. Many good restaurants are nearby. This is an older hotel, but everything was clean and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was great, as were the serving staff in the dining room.
