when checking in the staff was very courteous and initially the room was clean BUT we were never told about NO HOT WATER until after the first night I called the front desk in the morning to be informed that they indeed had no hot water and were going to get part from Portland to fix it BUT then that evening still no hot water nor was there any the second morning!!! I felt very bad for the staff having to deal with disgruntle guests and having no authority for discounting room rates. WHERE WAS THE MANAGER TO DEAL WITH THIS???? I find a $25 discount a slap in the face for no hot water during an August stay. Red Roof corporate office should also been of some help to this location to get the problem fixed! And how hygienic could the kitchen area be without hot water???

I stayed at this hotel in August 2017, I understand things happen but to have to go two days with no hot water is unacceptable. Also was not told there was no hot water had to find out by taking a freezing shower. What the hotel did was give you a $ 50 refund on check out. Two days NO hot water and you reimburse $50 . I will be advising any friends travelling to not stay at this hotel. We called the toll free number who supposedly wrote down our concerns but no one ever called back or did anything further.

This hotel is in the process of being completely renovated. That said, we can only imagine what it will be like when it is done. We had reserved a non-smoking room and when we got to our room it smelled like smoke. The staff at the reception apologized and put us into another room right away. The staff was really nice and accommodating. The rooms are old but clean.

I've stayed here many times over the years. My room was clean and comfortable, the staff very friendly. The facility is undergoing a major renovation, mattresses and refrigerators in the hall were a little "interesting and parking was challenging. I had to watch where I parked as I found several nails and other debris in the area I had to park. The biggest pain was no hot water for two days. I find it hard to believe that in metro Seattle the parts and skills to fix the problem were not available. The manager must be monitoring as they quickly reply with excuses but the facts are the facts

They don't tell you there's no hot water. You have to figure it out and then ask about it. Of course they're sorry etc but this is a deal breaker. Hotel is under renovation, but they really should have closed it to get all the work done before slapping the Red Lion name on it. Don't stay here!
