This is a lovely, typically Bahamian hotel. It's just outside of the town so probably could do with a car, although we didn't. The rooms are spacious with local decor, nice bathroom, with a stunning view. The staff are lovely and so helpful especially the reception staff. Continental breakfast is included and was fine. We ate in the restaurant a few times and whilst the menu isn't huge the quality of the food was really good. There's also a cute little bar on the jetty, but it was only open once.
Don't stay in the bubble of Sandals, stay here.

The main issue we had at Augusta Bay was the musty smell in our room. Thought it wasn't unbearable, it was not pleasant. Otherwise the place was OK, with friendly staff and the sea adjoining the terrace. Breakfast was OK, but not more. So all in all OK, but not worth the money they ask.

Only one word to describe the best vacation ever!!!!! Douglas was an extremely wonderful host. Very peaceful and relaxing ambience. The day trips were excellent. The seafood was great. The beaches were breathless. Augusta bay entire staff were excellent. They all aim to please. I will highly recommend this resort and vacation to everyone.

All rooms have great views. Staff all bring a level of friendly polite and helpful service to the table. Rooms are nice and were cleaned daily. Restaurant and bar in hotel. Conveniently close to town.

Mixed emotions on this hotel.
The people were very nice and have to say that the meals there were very good, in-fact the seafood with pasta was so good I had it two nights in a row!
The room was nice but no desk, in fact no chair in the room, so "borrowed one" from the pool and worked with the laptop on the bed. Also this was booked on a discount site (my boss did it) and we got a room right near the road, so could hear cars and trucks driving by much of the night.
Internet was spotty and we lost power for 2 hours one evening. Have to say that I sent the hotel two messages via their webpage and never received a reply so communication could improve.
Would stay there again but only if it was pleasure and I did not have to get any work done!
