We were staying in the Classic Room for 3 persons, the 2 Beds and fold out bed were very comfortable, no view from the window, just looking into the centre of the complex. The Hotel's décor was lovely, old fashion lift. The Breakfast room was large and accommodated a lot of people. The Staff were very polite and always ready to help you. The Reception Staff were just lovely. One block from Rathaus Park and Parliament House, Museum just around the corner. A short walk to the Train Station (Local). Enjoyed our stay for New Years Eve.

A lovely building and the hotel is clean, good location about 15min walk to the square and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
I would definitely recommend this hotel for a city trip to Vienna as it’s great value for money for a 4* hotel and easy distance to many attractions and the metro.
Rooms are good size with tea and coffee facilities.
We didn’t have breakfast included as there are many places you can have that and we wanted to keep our options open.
The lobby and reception aren’t big and there is a small lift which was broke for a couple of days whilst we were there but guests were able to access the cleaners lift whilst it was broken so wasn’t a problem.
The hotel is a
very good value city break hotel and although it isn’t the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in it did its job well and up to scratch with any decent 4* hotel and we were pleased with our stay.

The Hotel is located just off the Ringstrasse on the western side of the city. It is within easy walking distance of many places of interest including; the Vienna University, the Votivkirche, the Rathaus, the Parliament, the Burgtheatre and two wonderfully relaxing Parks; the Rathausplatz and the Volksgarten. The hotel is built in a renovated 19th century Palais with all the original external features and some of the internal features intact. It has six floors with the rooms on the 6th floor being under the roofline with sloping ceiling with the windows built therein. Due to a Shower fixture problem, as well as the blinds on ceiling windows being broken and difficulty with reduced head room we were moved to another room on the 4th floor. This room had very comfortable beds, though a small narrow bathroom. The shower space was very small, making it difficult not to brush against the flick mixer when turning in the shower. No face washer supplied. Breakfast was served on the ground floor, had a good range of quality food choices with adequate space and good staff. An all hours Snack Bar provides a limited choice of small meals in a small space near the reception. A number of 'cheaper' café/bar type eateries are within a two to three blocks. For Literary types who have read Edmund De Waal's book, "The Hare With Amber Eyes", Part Two of the book unfolds in this very area. The Palais Ephussi is just around the corner from the hotel on the corner of Schottengasse and Universitataring. While retaining the external appearance of the original design, it is now a commercial building.

We spent 4 nights at this hotel. The room was spacious and newly refurbished. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was ok and the hotel is centrally located. The U bahn is located close by. The AirPort bus stopps near the hotel. What more do you need?

Sometimes returning to a hotel that one has enjoyed previously is not a good thing, however the Austria Trend Hotel Rathauspark Wien is one of those hotels that my husband and I would be happy to stay in on our visits to Vienna.
The hotel has friendly staff, good breakfast room with an ample selection of foods that caters for those who like a full or continental breakfast, and is situated in a location that is close to the centre with good transport links.
While we initially booked a standard room for our second visit, we upgraded to an executive room, where the difference was staggering; beautifully furnished, good sized bathroom and very comfortable.
Tip:-
1. Check if the monitor in reception has been updated as we discovered the information about the Spanish Riding School was out of date
2, Check the status of the air conditioning, as management had turned it off, despite our room needing it during our stay
We would continue to recommend this hotel.
