OK Hotel
RegencyRoseon 02/08/2017 03:21This hotel was described in its blurb as "boutique", which is puzzling. To me boutique implies special or unusual but this hotel was pretty standard. The room was relatively clean, nothing special though. Problems were spotted as soon as we arrived - the bedside lamps were not working, the bed sagged, view from room was of the wall/rooms opposite and sound proofing was poor. We could hear the people in the room next door using the loo and the people in the room above walking around. In fact, the floors squeaked quite a lot. We overcame the noise problem by buying earplugs!! Beware parking costs of €25 per night in hotel car park - on street parking, right outside the front door cost €15 per 24 hours - doh! Plus point - the continental breakfast was very nice.
A reasonable overnight stop
Gillian Fon 01/08/2017 09:21Stayed for one night when travelling back to the ferry to the UK. Friendly greeting from the receptionist. Had a room on the first floor. It was a little smaller than some we have stayed in and not the highest quality mattress but overall clean and well equipped. Decor is a little tired but not a problem. Breakfast is reasonable with adequate choice. The hotel location is excellent and is easy to find. Access to the lovely seafront and promenade makes it a good choice.
Best Continental Breakfast in Europe
Ian Con 03/07/2017 19:00The decor may be a little dated but it served the best continental breakfast we'd had on our European tour - huge slabs of white, milk and plain chocolate - what's not to like! A friendly welcome at reception who helped us out with parking. The seagulls were a bit noisey but, hey, this is the seaside and we did have the windows open as it was a very hot night.
Not a place to feel welcomed
tomE6492TZon 07/06/2017 21:19Just one of many non characteristic hotels. Interiors are outdated. The breakfast buffet was presented without passion for detail and the food quality.lower standard. However the rooms where clean but oldfashioned. No must at all rather a place if you don't find anything better.
