Just wanted a place to sleep while on a motorcycle trip with a friend. If you are a day sleeper forget it - too close to Nellis Air Force base with a lot of jet traffic but less so at night. There is nothing we could see nice to eat within walking distance, but not sure I would walk far in that area after dark anyway so we ended up at IHOP a block away.
Front desk night person was overworked during which had to move me because A/C failed. Comedy of errors then getting a room key that worked on new room, had to steal coffee pot from old room, etc.
I gave 3 stars because of the patient efforts of night clerk guy and the room was clean. We did not expect amenities from a budget motel but did not like the area.

Well the Aviation Inn is right across the street from the entrance to the Air Force base, where Craig road meets Las Vegas Blvd. I am sure it is handy for visitors of people in the service. The location is also just down the road from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. That was my main reason for choosing the place as I was going to the races for 3 days and had no need for a casino and the strip in central vegas. The hotel has a short hours lobby, and is well worn for sure. The Room was adequate, but again worn. Parking was easy after you figure out how to get in the place because if you are coming east on craig road from 15 you need the last ditch U-Turn to get their or you must make another U-Turn to get back to the U-Turn You needed to get to the lot.
Day one their was NO hot water, not even warm water. So if you like a cold shower this may be the place. Day two there was luke warm water, so if you are going to the drag races, just smell like the races and fix the rest elsewhere. The office does not open till 8 am, so if you are going anywhere you will not get to see them.
As far a convenience to the race track, this is great. The rest well I have had better

Reserved the queen suite for 3 nights, the reservation was canceled without a call to let us know..... Good thing we always call the night before to make sure we have a place to stay.....
WiFi was horrible!!! Customer service poor, $100 cash deposit even when using a card????

We stayed here one night with my boyfriend. Horrible customer service! No hot water! Old A/C that doesn't work. We got kicked out of the room at 10:40 with the housekeepers waiting outside and the front desk calling us. Nightmare! The only positive thing I can say is the room was clean, otherwise everything was terrible.

Stayed for a week, not my choice in the matter. Room was clean but very old and crusty. Depending on the time of morning you want to shower you'll likely not have any hot water. Over the course of seven days, no hot water on three beginning at six AM. Not a good area, but close to a great BBQ place and nearly directly across from Nellis AFB main gate.
