What People are saying

Great place to stay

Kelly Ton 19/11/2017 01:57

I, personally, love staying here. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I was even offered a drink at check-in. The room is great. Large, cool, and terrific furnishings. The neighborhood is safe and there are places to eat. Great value!

Pass on this one

The people, or at least the one person that I talked to, seemed nice enough but we were put on the 3rd floor when the place was empty. We're still not sure why. The room we got looked like it has been lived in for some time. It was visibly dirty. There was no place nearby to eat and walking in that area did not feel safe to me. I don't have any more specific complaints about the place but I cannot in good conscience recommend it to anyone.

Atleast they have hot water

jason918on 14/04/2017 17:20

I had to stay here for a work related training...it's not fancy..it's not exotic..but it is clean..I had a 2 bedroom unit with full living room and kitchen..they advertise breakfast so I paid the extra 15 dollars per day for breakfast..if you are smart you will not do this..i received a knock at the door for breakfast..the guy brought me a loaf of bread from the store a couple boiled eggs..and a box of milk..needless to say i didn't eat much while there..the room itself was adequately cleaned and had great wifi..the hot water works which is always a plus..the hotel is in a residential area with the bus stopping right at the corner..not really much around the area so buy your items before check in

BED BUGS - do not stay here

LukaszDobrzynskion 14/04/2017 03:15

I stayed only for 1 night while in transit, but I would never, ever, come back there.

I had bed bugs in my room and I ended up sleeping on a floor on towels and extra sheets. I arrive late and left early, so there was not much I could do.

The owners is very kind and she tries hard to make this place work, but seriously, I travel a lot (60+ countries) and this place was pretty bad. So many other things that I could point out, but if the bed bugs will not get you convinced than I am not sure what else would...

Safe Location - Good Price

viaggiatoredodicion 21/03/2017 08:40

In reading the reviews and seeing everyone say "do not stay here" I stayed here anyway. Before giving a negative review you need to take into consideration that this hotel is priced at $45 per night. I stayed here alone for 3 nights and I will admit that it is not the cleanest or nicest place but it is Belize City...One of the better things about this place is the location. It is in a quiet residential part of Belize City called West Landivar. I would suggest staying here (especially if you are traveling with friends) and spending money excursions like cave tubing, Myan ruins, jungle, zoo, etc. There is a market down the street that sells food/alcohol. The 11AM checkout is strictly enforced. My one complaint would be that at 10:55AM (while in the shower) the power in my room was shut off and I was told that if I wanted to stay 2 more hours, I would have to pay $50. Nancy, the manager, is very friendly but she means business. She will call you a cab at any time. Enjoy!
