Stayed two weeks at the lovely Bahama Bay resort. Amazing huge condo with beautiful terrace overlooking a wildlife pond and walking/jogging track. Really convenient for Disney, outlet shopping, Celebration and loads of fabulous restaurants (including a restaurant and bar on site).
Really loved walking round the grounds and wildlife spotting – turtles sunning themselves on the edge of the lake, cormorants drying their wings, herons standing patiently at the edge of the water, even spotted baby alligators in the big lake. We were there half term week so it was quite busy but if the main pool by Tradewinds got busy we went to one of the other three pools. Lots of other things to do with tennis, shuffle board (never played that before but it is quite fun), pool table plus free library and DVD rental. A real oasis from the busyness of Orlando. Staff were really friendly and helpful (we had no can opener in the condo but we rang front desk and one was delivered very quickly) and it was really great having our own condo so able to cook some meals and relax in our own space.

Just came back from our holiday and we had a great time! Bahama bay was located in a quiet but close location to the Disney parks (about 10 minutes). It is also very close to the 192 Hwy strip which houses tons of restaurants and major stores. The resort itself is well kept with friendly staff. Amenities are great to keep you busy if you wish to just stay for the day and unwind. My kids loved the pools and splash pad. There is even a man made beach with a volleyball court and a dock overlooking Lake Davenport. The unit we stayed in is very spacious for the 4 of us. High Ceilings, 2 bedrooms with tvs, 2 bathrooms, full kitchen, washer and dryer, balcony with a breakfast bar. There is a Walmart Super Center about 3 kilometers away to do all your groceries. Overall was a great place if you want to stay away from the busy hotels and area of International Drive. My only suggestion is to rent a car if you are staying here. Parking is free but they charge $80 U.S. cleaning fee when you check in which we gladly payed considering the amazing state of our unit.

We spent two weeks in one of the apartments at Bahama Bay. We rented a car and found the location of Bahama Bay ideal. A ten minute drive from all the major Disney attractions. We found it a nice relaxing resort. Our days were so full of adventure that we really needed our creature comforts and peace in the evening. The apartment was fully equipped with everything that you would expect to find in your own home. Super comfy sofas too. The kids loved the pools and the super warm jacuzzi and splash park and was a great way to cool off. Big supermarket only a five minute drive away and plenty of restaurants nearby. We didn’t use public transport so a hire car is a must. Literally cannot fault anything. 5 stars from us.

We loved this place and will definitely be back!!
The villa was huge and clean and a home away from home. We all had a great time. It's close to grocery store and pizza and they have many pools and also a restaurant on site. We would definitely come back here.

Just about to finish 3 weeks in America and fully enjoyed our time staying at Bahama Bay Resort, after being completely spoilt last time with the size of our Villa we were torn between a standard Virgin Villa or the cheaper Bahama Bay.
Looking at the Villas we knew we would always be comparing it to the 5 bed, 4 bathroom Villa that we got by accident on our last holiday. We opted for Bahama Bay sacrificing our own pool.
After 3 weeks of hardly being at the complex needing your own pool would have made no difference, on two days chilled we used the communal pool and both pools are really really nice, couple of Jacuzzis as well, the single floor apartment was the size of a villa, huge living space and lovely bedrooms with two bathrooms, view looking over the lake, shop is fairly limited but Walmart is less than 5 mins down the road, good location just 10 mins away from all of Disney.
