What People are saying

A lot to offer but

Scottyboy75 on 20/11/2017 09:08

First of all this hotel isn't in costa adeje like I thought when booking it's in playa paraiso which is about 5 mile from adeje £12/15 euro in a taxi each way and 4:40 euros on the regular service bus. Not a lot going on around hotel area although not totally deserted. Check in was a long drawn out process and a smile wouldn't of went a miss and this was the case when speaking to reception at other times. Hotel is built on a hill and quite a way down to pool from main hotel building.
Stayed all inclusive and can only say food and drink offering works excellent and a great selection of types of food on offer especially breakfast which is top quality. Are at Italian restaurant and the only thing I could pick fault with was the size of the lasagne, great service and quality of food though. Heard other guests complaining about the service and food quality in the Brazilian but my experience differed to there's.
The Rooms are spotlessly clean, large in size and bathroom also but be careful you don't get stuck in the dungeon, if your room number is on the ground floor then your view is of a road down the size of the hotel and a ravine, were just about everybody else gets a lovely view over the hotel and sea. If they offer you room 3102 I'd refuse it as I stayed in this room sand it's right next to the cleaners cupboard for block 3, they start at 7:30 and don't go about their work quietly ( trust me).
The infinity pool is the great and a credit to the hotel.

Would I stay again ?? Yes but not at the price I paid for the holiday, the place could be top top quality with a bit of effort on a few things

Another lovely Bahia holiday

Just back from a lovely Holiday in Tenerife with gorgeous weather. The Bahia Principe is a good hotel if your looking for a relaxing break away. It is remote not a lot going on around it but does have a daily bus into Las Americas. There are two hotels, Bahia Adje and Bahia Tenerife, next door to one another with shared facilities, apart from the buffet restaurants, we stayed in the Tenerife side. The rooms are built around the pool area all over looking the pool and some sea views they are typical hotel rooms, but are kept very clean, towels and bedding changed daily. Lots of sunbeds although the usual towels on beds before dawn. There are 4 Al a carte restaurants Italian, Asian, Mexican and Brazilian recommend you book as soon as you can they get very busy all are very good. Also a pool bar for snacks and a lovely terrace bar overlooking the sea for drinks. Things to do in the day if you want to join in with the animation team and some evening entertainment All together a really good hotel some of the staff don't appear to be very friendly but most okay would recommend and return.

Distinctly Average

We booked this holiday after reading all of the reviews!! It's been nothing like it. When we arrived we were shocked to learn we had actually been booked in to Bahia Principe Tenerife which is over the road from the main hotel. You can use most of the facilities but have different wrist bands... and boy don't you know it. The red bands are defiantly treated as the poor relations and you can not use the all inclusive buffet. The complex in very hilly and not suitable for people with mobility issues. The over all condition isn't to bad

Food - a typical Spanish all inclusive, it's very average but eatable and warm which is a good start. The a la carte restaurants are good, the Italian was very nice. You have to purchase any drinks and they make you sign/pay for the bill before you start eating the waiter at this point was actually leaning over my dinner

Hotel - very very clean and reasonably kept, pools are nice and clean

Rooms - is a small block of single storey rooms that can only be described as an extension in the car park doesn't feel part of the complex, small, the air con is rubbish. Although small they are modern, clean and over all pleasant. A bit of a walk to get any where

Staff - RUDE, RUDE, RUDE - 90% of the staff I encounted were unhelpful and rude.. didn't try to help and almost went out of there way to be difficult. I was not impressed at all with the general attitude

All in all I wasn't particularly happy wth the complex, there is a lot of room for improvement. I would potentially return but they all need a lesson in customer service

By all means give it a go, we have enjoyed being on the island for the week

Beware: Please don’t judge the overall high rating!

On arrival we thought this was lovely, not realising until we queued at reception realising we was not staying the the Bahia Principe Costa Adele as advertised but the Bahia Principe Tenerife which is apparently the sister hotel. We was treated very rudely by the reception and had no help getting our luggage to the other hotel. We then had to queue at the other reception again, which took forever and the reception was once again very rude and slow. We got our key to the room without no help and got lost, we eventually found out our room was at the back of the hotel in the car park, a newly additional added rooms from my first perspective.

Room - The room was lovely inside and have no fault regarding this, but the air con barely functions and it’s always so hot. The cleanliness was great and the housekeeping do a great job.

Pool - The pool in this hotel is not as nice as the other hotel pool, it’s a shame as we was so excited from being advertised the other pool but we had to always walk down to the other pool which we was allowed. BEWARE: if you like cocktails, the ones in this hotel are pre made and cold slush, the other hotel have much fresher cocktails and snacks.

Food - The food was disappointing, from the reviews I had such high expectation, but I wouldn’t recommend the food at the buffet. The food is always cold tastes very cheap. The best food was from the Italian but you will have to pay for a bottle of wine, which the waiter forcefully wanted me to sign for while I was eating my starter with his hand over my plate. Very bad service.

Overall - I wouldn’t come back here again, the hotel reviews consist of people who come back here again and again, because they’re comfortable. I’ve been to many all inclusive and it’s always been fun and friendly, I feel like I’m making everyone’s job harder when I ask a simple question or for some help. I would HIGHLY recommend if you do book make sure you book the Bahia Principe Costa Adele, that’s the best experience your going to get out of this Spanish all inclusive.

Lovely relaxing holiday

We got back this week from our one week stay at the Bahia Principal Tenerife.
This is a great place to stay to relax and unwind. The food is fantastic, the pools are great and the majority of staff are really helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious.
I would recommend booking early for the theme restaurants, our favourite would be the Asian one.
The drinks are easy to get. Either self service or ask at the bar. Mainly Canarian local drinks and and Miguel on tap. All lovely.

The pools at the Tenerife hotel are great one heated and one not. As the weather was in the 80’s unheated was fine. Refreshing I think the word is.

The only bad points and just grumbles really, the beds are not great. Really cheap mattresses that are not that comfortable. The drinks from the bar are either really strong or really weak.
The cocktail bar at the sister hotel 100 yards down the road Bahia principe costa adeje, it’s really hard to get served here. I went to the bar and was told to wait for the waiter, ten mins later he asked what we wanted. A further wait of ten mins for drink. Then trying to catch his attention again to get another drink was impossible. I went to the bar and was told again to wait. I the end I asked for the drinks to take away and they got quite grumpy at this. Spoke in Spanish to each other and drinks were slammed down on the bar. That wasn’t great.

In summary,
A lovely place to stay and would probably go again but I would avoid the cocktail bar lol
