A place with a lot of potential!
yb94on 07/01/2017 12:59We had the occasion to pass two nights in baita della luna with a smartbox!
The location is really fantastic. In the winter you can park in Cesana, and reach the baita with a ski lift or they come and get you with a snowmobile. The baita is situated right on the piste, quiet and with a nice view.
The room was nice, warm and clean. The only thing is that the room isn't really acoustically isolated, and you hear people shower in the other room and in the morning people talking in the hall and we didn't have warm water in the shower!
The common room is nice, with a pool table and some board games. Unfortunately there were a lot of little children, with loud music and always occupying the pool without really playing. Also the spa is nice, but we didn't enter the swimming pool because of the children doing "bombs". It ruined the "relaxing" of the spa a bit.
The restaurant was essential, and a bit expensive. 7€ for a moretti 66cl is a lot. But the people serving were nice, even if they forgot our table both nights :)
The whole structure could use a bit of maintenance, but the rooms, as said, are nice and warm.
We enjoyed our stay, it's a really beautiful place with lots of potential, but just has some little things to pay attention to! :) Thanks and maybe see you next year!
unusual stay
TripMember12102014on 17/09/2016 18:17This hotel is on the slopes with an unusual way of arrival bags go on ahead in ski lift you then follow,Homeward bound is hotel via skidoo to your coach.hotel has a pool sauna Jacuzzi with evening entertainment including a pool table.This is a lovely family hotel with friendly warm staff.
Fantastic location and great hospitality
l2askion 09/05/2015 20:17We travelled as a family for an Easter ski holiday. We were aware of the fantastic isolated location of this hotel before we made the booking. However our stay exceeded our expectations. Nothing was too much trouble for the manager and his small team, who kept the hotel clean and above all so welcoming and friendly. Arrival at the hotel by skidoo was a memorable experience. The ample and varied meals always ensured that dinner was a great end to a days skiing. We had no complaints about the food. Breakfast too was good with a good range of breakfast items all to be enjoyed over looking the pristine snow covered slopes at 2000 metres. It was really difficult to fault the hotel and the ability to ski out and ski back to the hotel door made for a great holiday. We cannot wait to return.
lovely place half way up a mountain
HaydnLon 04/03/2014 18:09Very helpful amanger supported by staff who were extremely welcoming and friendly. Stayed with a school group and food was good to excellent and plentiful. Sometimes intermittent wifi was frustrating but on the whole would be very happy to recommend and return there especially as the ski in ski out faciltiy makes this an excellent location. Ski school and ski hire were also excellent.
for the price ,,excellent ,,bit in the midddle of now were but you get what you pay for
