What People are saying

A REALLY LOUD PLACE

VIAJES S on 13/11/2017 15:20

this place is located next to a bridge with very high traffic and the noise in the rooms is unbearable day and night, even with the thick windows crystals they have installed.
In addition, access to the beach is a path under this bridge where there are homeless people drinking and asking for money. Not recommended for families with children

Could be great with a little work

It is a nice hotel, but there are some definite issues. The first being that finding the hotel is a huge challenge. If you don't know the area, then it is very difficult to find the underpass you have to navigate to get here. The hotel itself is clean but the rooms are starting to show their age - peeking paint in the bathroom, towels that are stained and in some cases torn and the complete lack of TV channels. Also the 'free' WIFI is spotty at best. The staff, when you can find them, are friendly. Not sure I would stay here again but I wouldn't count it out either.

BEWARE WITH THE BOOKING SYSTEM

daisymiami on 26/10/2017 18:07

I can not really comment on the quality of the hotel because I could not get in there. Apparently, the booking system "?failed?" and he changed my reservation dates 10/21 10/22 to the same day that I was doing it 10/18 10/19, with the sad result that we lost our money.
But the most curious thing is that I never received any message, email or phone call from the hotel about the cancellation. So, two days later, when I assumed were the correct dates, Oct 21, I went to the hotel with my husband ( we are old people, 65 and 68 and we carried one bag and one cooler and my husband is using a cane) we met the surprising response from the reception attendant:::"oh this is an old reservation, sorry".. and that it's!. No suggestion, no information, no attempt to help with another hotel, nothing, she didn't even look at me again !!
After two days waiting for a requested response, an email from hotel informed me that "our hotel policy rule is not to send communications to customer that are booking only one night"", .Apparently the policy says> if you are an small client then " I will take your money and forget you"... I'm sick of see this behavior from companies!!.
But the real problem is in the web site. If you open the hotel web site you will find that the calendar have a bug and is not opening totally, so you must put your date manually and in that moment is when they do the trick!!
at least, that happened to me.
My recommendation: book your hotel with the big chains, they have plenty of communications with their customers and please don't trust in this "boutiques" hotels.
But no all was bad that day!!
My visit to this site allowed me to see that this "boutique hotel" is located "almost" under a very heavy traffic bridge and that many rooms windows are facing that bridge. So,regardless of whether they tell you that there are many hotels on the beaches next to bridges (I avoid them all, if any) and that the windows against impact limit the sound (which is not true because I have in my house those windows and they only are limiting the impacts, which is what they are designed for, not to isolate the sound) then you can imagine the noise that the traffic cause day and night!!
The beach is a little bit far for old people or for people with mobility problems and that day we walked thru that sidewalk at 4 pm and saw under the bridge a lot of homeless, people drinking, people smoking weird cigars .. in short, a not very friendly environment!!
So at last, we were happy of what happened and considered the lost money as a payment for a good lesson.
Now my question is, do you can learn from the others experiences?
I hope that the answer will be yes!!!

Nothing more than an ordinary Best Western

Stephen021 on 25/10/2017 14:49

Massively overpriced, and during my one night stay checking in at 7.30pm and leaving at 8am reception was closed at both times. To be fair, room was spotlessly clean. But toilet didn't work, iron leaked everywhere, air conditioner was noisier than living near an airport, and absolutely no dining options. I've stayed in much better Best Westerns at a quarter of the price of this hotel. Will not be back and would not recommend it to anyone!

This is not a regular hotel, it is a special experience.

It took us a while to understand the structure of this apart hotel.
My son and I arrived at night, exhausted and all we wanted was to end the day of a long journey with a dinner in the room.
First impact: there is no restaurant service available at the hotel.
Second impact: it was not a large room with kitchen, it was an unbelievable and luxurious apartment, beautifully decorated and very clean. The dining room table was perfectly set, with wine glasses.
It would be an apartment to live for a few days, in the best way possible.
We left our bags at "our apartment" and adapted to this new condition: we went to dinner at a restaurant in Bal Harbor Shops and then we passed a convenience store to fill our "fridge and freezer" with delicious snacks.
The next day, we stumbled on the tranquility of a place practically without enthusiastic tourists, without children running, and better, a few steps from a beach almost exclusive and with essential services: chairs, umbrella and ..... sunscreen.
The balcony of our apartment was across the bridge, but under the bridge was the ocean. You can remember what you want. I prefer the ocean.
Not to mention the perfume of the reception, or the iced tea, or the glass of prosseco available to the guests.
I spent a week, but I could spend the rest of my life there..
