We had the downstairs suite and it was lovely. Beautiful, modern decoration but in keeping with the style of the property. The ensuite bathroom was very contemporary and both the bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The sheets on the bed had a luxurious feel to them. The room was very quiet and nice and warm (we stayed in November). The breakfast was excellent with a good selection and cooked to order. I would definitely recommend this place!

Following a friend's recommendation and other positive reviews, we chose The Balincourt for our 2 night stay in Bournemouth and it lived up to expectation. Our room was lovely with attention to detail and clearly much thought went into all the finishing touches, showing full appreciation for what guests require to ensure a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Great value for money, the room rate included breakfast and the breakfast menu offered an excellent choice. Cleanliness was excellent, a very high standard. Lovely fresh soft towels and bedding too. No problem in getting a parking space at the front of the hotel. Would definitely like to go back to The Balincourt in the future.

Arrived early afternoon and just rang to say if it's OK to park my car at the front to be told I could check in although I was nearly 3 hours earlier than agreed. Shown to my room by the owner and had explained to me about breakfast times etc. Also directed me the quickest route to the seafront. Found the Balincourt to be home from home, immaculately and sympathetically decorated to match the age of the building. Felt like I should have taken my shoes off at the front door, I don't mean in a fussy manner, but the place is so clean and tidy, but lived in. The room itself was more than adequate for my needs. A comfy bed to sleep in, plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits, not forgetting the mints that are replaced daily. Had plenty of hot water for a shower and also a bath after a walk along the prom to Sandbanks and back. Needed to soothe my aching legs!!!! Breakfast is as good as you will find anywhere for any price......freshly cooked and thoroughly enjoyable, even asked if I would like some more toast. Would definitely stay again without any hesitation.

Reviews on tripadvisor on this hotel were very accurate. I was on my own and was made to feel very welcome on arrival by owners.Room was totally spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was 5 star quality. Checked out to stay at Royal Bath as was attending party near by -so, so wish I had continued to stay at Balincourt. Royal Bath was a disaster , see other review.Having travelled extensively and stayed at many hotels worldwide I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel and next time in Bournemouthwould certainly stay there. It is truly fabulous to see that the owners have a passion for customer service.

We were in Bournemouth to meet up with our family. The Balincourt was the perfect place to stay.
Alison and Nigel's attention to detail was superb and reflects their passion for providing their guests with a comfortable, relaxing break. Our bedroom was meticulously clean.The breakfast menu was excellent with a delightful choice of fresh fruit, cereals and a really generous cooked breakfast.
We look forward to our next visit to the Balincourt.
