One of the cheaper options in this part of Portland so you shouldn't expect a top experience.
The pluses: the staff was very pleasant and seemed to want to oblige (I'd give them 2.5 stars if I could because they were nice). The room was clean.
The minuses - I had to spend 20 minutes fiddling with the TV to get it to work as someone had messed around with it. The shower was lukewarm if I am charitable.

Do not believe the good reviews. As a traveler I can't think of a worse place to stay in. There were red stains on the lamp shade, brown stains on box springs no chain lock and door was all punctured.

Overall place looks to be recently renovated and is in nice shape. It was a bit frustrating trying to use the internet though. Wifi would come and go every few minutes and when it would connect, it was terribly slow. Motel should upgrade or add more wifi routers. The lack of wifi was frustrating because I needed to do work while in Portland and needed internet to do so.
At this point, wifi should not be advertised as an amenity at this location.

This property has been here a long time but this was the first time I have stayed here. There is a new brick motif in progress which seems to be finished in the lobby. Our room, 53, on the upper level in the corner has the motif in the shower and the room furniture is quite up-to-date. The room was exceptionally clean. They are working on the outside and grounds with some painting having been done lately. It has pretty easy access from I-84 Exit 2. The freeway is very close but we did not hear it in the back corner. Room has large flat-screen TV, micro, fridge, nice king bed which takes up most of the floor space. There is an office type chair but no desk or table. One of the lamps does not have a bulb, which I reported on check-out. The remote would not change channels which would be fine for a guest who wants Harry Potter 24-7!! They put new batteries in the remote but that did not fix it. One would hope that housekeeping would check on these two things as they ready the room for the next guest. We got a Wi-Fi password but were not able to connect.

I stayed three nights on recent trip. A short walk from the Hollywood Trax train stop. Plenty of fast food and beer pubs in area. Friendly office staff. Owner was kind enough to print my boarding pass. Motel is a bit dated but rooms have been renovated.
