This bed and breakfast is exquisite in all aspects. The wonderful rooms, breakfasts and hospitality would be very hard to beat. Marty & Mary attend to every detail and made our weekend relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you so much!

we travel often and feel so lucky to have found Barrington House Bed and Breakfast. It is our favorite place to stay in the Chicago area. The town of Barrington is very quaint and beautiful. You can walk to the shops in Barrington and the train that takes you into Chicago. The owners take great care of their Inn and their guests.

This is our 3rd stay at Barrington House. Each time we are treated superbly by Mary and Marty. The room is spotless and so very comfortable. The breakfasts are delicious and served on delightful Christmas China and/or Antique Depression Glass. We can't say enough good things a about their hospitality.

Barrington House is in a perfect location, just off of the main downtown area. We were in town for a friends birthday gathering and this location made our stay so much more enjoyable. The inn is absolutely spotless and tastefully decorated. Every detail has been addressed and the rooms are warm and cozy. Our room had a corner fireplace and we awoke to nearly a foot of snow the first morning. Mary had a delicious breakfast prepared for us and the setting in the dining room with the floor to ceiling windows was "snow globe" perfect!!! Thank you Mary and Marty for another wonderful visit!!!

From the moment we arrived, we realized this was no ordinary Inn. Mary and Marty are such lovely hosts I felt like I was visiting family friends. Mary has thought of every minute detail with such lovely touches. Marty carried our suitcases up to the second floor, which was a great bonus. There is a self-help coffee and tea room, with a mini fridge for several types of milk &cream and sodas and water. The rooms are sumptuous, with a bed even my husband described as incredibly comfortable. There was lovely vase of fresh flowers on the desk, a secure wifi passcode, and a fantastic Kohler bathroom, with a great shower. Usually we don't sleep well on the road, but here we slept like we were in our own beds. The homemade food and fresh berries were so phenomenal we couldn't believe our luck at staying in such a marvelous place. We can't wait for our return visits.
