booked the day before we flew out, with an open mind. was so impressed with the hotel when we arrived, lovely atmospere, clean & spotless room over looking the pool.
The food was spectacular, wide choice to suit all palates and chefs specials every night,

hotel is outside of Salou but near enough to journey in each nite, bus stop outside hotel so great choice whether to stay local, salou or stretch futher a field to Barcelona.
This is definately a hotel i would recommend and return to in the future. thank you for a lovely holiday.

Me and my family (wife + toddler + baby) stayed for the last week of September. The weather was perfect and so was the stay at H10.
We opted to include breakfast and dinner and the variety, freshness and quality of the food was very good.
The hotel staff (reception, bar, restaurant, entertainment) were friendly and polite and the hotel itself was comfortable, clean and spacious, with a nice big pool and baby pool beside it.
Our toddler had an accident on our last day and we had to take him to a local hospital. The hotel staff and Director were extremely supportive and made arrangements so we could stay in the same room for an extra night (the hotel was close to full).
All in all, we had a nice, relaxing holiday (except for our little scare at the end!). Thoroughly recommended, 10 out of 10!

Lovely hotel

We stayed here for 10 days and loved it. The hotel is located inbetween Cambrils and Salou in a quiet, mainly residential, area of Vilafortuny.
Hotel is very clean and the staff are all very friendly and speak very good English.
Location is lovely and quiet but easily accessible to Salou and Cambrils, bus stop right outside of side gate of hotel.
Beach is a mere few minutes walk away and is gorgeous, lots of room.
Food is plentiful and is always being replaced. The only complaint from me is that I didn't find the food hot enough, although there is a microwave.
Rooms are made up daily and beds are changed every other day. Very clean. 1 complaint...not enough plug sockets but manageable.
Room tips go for a pool view but if you like it very quiet then ask for a tennis court view.
Would we go back?
A big fat YES.

Lovely hotel

The Cambrils playa is a really nice hotel. Bright and spacious lobby and bar area. Reception staff helpful any time we needed to ask questions or anything.

Check in was easy, we were too early to be given a room, so they let us put our luggage in a courtesy luggage area until it was ready.

The room itself ( 253 ) was nice. It overlooked the tennis courts. I personally don't like the style and shape of the balconies, they go out in a v shape and you can see everything and everyone on the next balcony so very little privacy with them. Also the rooms on the floor below have larger 'back garden' areas which we could see straight down onto also.

The fridge was free of charge, and it was a €10 deposit ( refundable) for the safe. WiFi in our room was good, but my son who was staying at the other end of the corridor had almost no signal in his room - not good for a teenager !.

The cleaning staff did a great job every day.

Free toiletries in the bathroom. Great power shower. It did sometimes cause water to splash out onto the floor though. Bidet and hairdryer also.

We never stayed lying by the pool so I don't know about the lounger situation.

The cafe / restaurant by the pool was very reasonable and has nice food.

The bus stop was just outside the back of the pool through a gate. Buses are frequent in both directions to salou and Cambrils. There is also a busplana office very close to the hotel where you can book tours to Barcelona etc. There is an ATM machine nearby too and a couple of supermarkets and a chemist. Pizza shop across the road too but it closed at 7pm.

The beach is literally 3 mins walk from the hotel. Lovely clean beach, with sunloungers for hire and a couple of bars. You can walk the whole way to salou or Cambrils on the beach, probably takes about 45 mins.

We were on a half board basis, so had breakfast and dinner each day. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choices. Cold meats and cheeses, pastries, fruit, as well as cooked products. I don't like the spanish sausages and pudding's but it didn't matter as there was always fried eggs available, and sometimes hash browns and beans.

Dinner menu was very varied. Each night they had a special which was being cooked by a chef in a different area . We had pork, pizzas, nachos, pasta dishes, seafood , soup, bread, salads, veal...to name a few. Good variety of desserts also. You pay for any drinks you have at dinnertime. Breakfast drinks are free.

I really did like this hotel ( we stayed in the H10 delfin in salou last year too, and so far I can't really fault this hotel group ).

My only issues in the playa hotel were the WiFi problems in some of the rooms and the slowness of the 2 lifts. They are in my opinion extremely slow and it becomes very frustrating. And please be aware that you are not in any of the towns and have to travel to get to either place, either by walking or by bus. Also like I have said above if you value your privacy be aware of the type of balconies you get.

I would still recommend this hotel though, it's very nice.

just returned from h10 hotel had a brilliant holiday hotel very clean and every friendly staff food excellent ideal for getting to salou or cambrills bus stops out side hotel pool bar served excellent food and reasonable prices for lunch
