Perfect visit to London

I stayed here for one night last week with my mother in law as we had a west end show booked in the evening and wanted to do some sight seeing. We easily found the hotel and traveled via the tube, with just a short walk from the station. I was really pleased when we arrived at the hotel, its well presented, the staff were very friendly and our room was great. I had booked a twin and we ended up with a quad room! The room was well presented with clean linen and towels and there was a nifty little device called the Handy in the room which I used to look up the local attractions and go on the internet. We both had a good night sleep and a good breakfast the next morning and were in the perfect location to walk to Hyde park and do our sight seeing the next day.
Not fantastic

My daughter and i stayed here for the weekend, the presentation of the hotel could be better as it was dirty, all the doors needed a wash around the handles, reception and staff were very helpful, rooms were small but clean, BUT the 2 lifts were out of action on and off i had to walk down the stairs (which were filthy) to the ground floor to get the lift up to my floor just to get our suitcases as the lift didnt stop at our floor. Breakfast was ok but very limited hot food was cold and the toaster wasnt working staff did not even offer to cook any in the kitchen. It was a shame because the hotel is in a good place so convienient for the tube and could be so much better, security is a major issue front door is wedged open and get access to the lift or stairs to guests rooms, my daughter came down very early one morning to find 6 men playing cards and drinking whiskey there was no one in reception so she felt very uncomfortable.

We stayed for 2 nights last week. Our room 103 was very clean, bed was very comfortable with clean linen and towels. Breakfast was good with hot selection as well as continental available. The hotel has some renovations going on but it didnt interfere with our stay. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. My only complaint would be the size of the bedroom, our bed was pushed up against the wall so had to climb over to get up. I would class it as a single room and not double. We will stay here again when in the area.
Typical city hotel

Stayed in August for a hen party. Typical small city hotel - literally for sleeping. Short walk to Bayswater tube station. Relatively clean. Breakfast included in the price, not great selection but what there was, was good.
Average

Another average, overpriced London hotel. Our room was on the lower ground floor with a tiny window giving us hardly any natural light. The bedroom and in particular the bathroom is in dire need of an upgrade as it's very tired and dated. If you're staying here don't bother with the breakfast, it's not worth getting up for.
I suppose the only good thing about this hotel is its location, around the corner from some great pubs, a tube stop and Hyde Park.
