I stayed with family and friends at the backelar wirt for a week. The hotel is 100 m from the Gondola ( kids considered it as good as ski in ski out). The rooms are spacious and new with comfortable beds. All our rooms had balconies. Bathrooms either had showers ou bathtubs and are spacious.
The food was good and nicely served( a choice of meat/ fish/ veggie for dinner each night) except for desserts that weren't to our taste;-). Very good soups each night
The sauna/ relaxium was well appointed and clean ( water jugs need to be tended to in the den)
Wifi is variable in the evening but overall ok
There's a shop on site to rent skis and buy ski passes
Overall a great stay for the price!

A friend of mine chose this hotel for its perfect location in Sölden (next to Gaislachkogelbahn). It happened to be a perfect surprise: hotel seemed brand new, modern style, rooms are spacious, bathroom very comfortable, everything very clean, no noise from the road, big window, balcony, nice and friendly staff. Price is very reasonable: I payed 925 € for a week on high season (February 2017) as a single in a double room with breakfast and dinner included!. Hotel has a very nice spa with 2 saunas and 1 hammam.

Perfect location just view steps from the Gaislachkogl lift which has good connection to the Gletscher. Nice, clean and well equipped rooms. The hotel has some parking places and use some space in the garage 100m from the hotel. Breakfast OK, I think everyone will find something to eat, but is just average. Nice, friendly staff.

We liked the location and comfort of the hotel. It was right across the parking lot from the main ski lift. The hotel was right in the middle of the village within walking distance of all the clubs and shops. The food was very good but the dinners in the evening were of a different nature than we were used to having. There were many courses but they were very small portions. The hotel staff is good and helped us out a lot. I would stay there again.

Not sure why its rated 3 star superior and not 4 star as it has just the same facilities of 4 stars previously visited in other resorts. Very modern - not sure if its a recent refurb or new but rooms we had booked were modern and functional, with flat screen TVs and channels in all languages plus ipad/phone connectivity (but previous generation so you need the firestick convertor if you have later models). Beds can be formed as singles or doubles. Nice view on mountain side. Short walk across car park to one of the 2 main lifts. Friendly staff, lively bar and excellent breakfasts (we didn't eat dinner at the hotel so cant comment on that). Nice Spa facilities. Only issue was the wifi which generally didn't work very well. Boot room closed early as it is in the rental shop which caught us out one night but hotel opened it up for us to drop off our gear and get our shoes. Would definitely choose it again if we return to Solden
