What a bummer of a stay for a last minute overnight trip! I'll start here: The front desk attendant was an unpleasant lady upon our arrival as well as our exit! There was no warm welcoming, no greeting, no smile, and no people skills. She refused to hand me anything and placed everything on the counter(credit card, room key, license, receipt). I was tired from my drive-(I held back and bit my tongue). Oktoberfest was happening so I found a last minute deal for a two bedroom suite at "Beach Terror Inn.' Got to my room, no lock on balcony door. I wouldn't even have noticed there was no phone except I needed to dial front desk. I dialed from my cell and it rang and rang, no answer. I had to walk back down from the 6th floor to the lobby. The "Beast Terror Inn" has connected balconies so I needed my room to be secured before I left out. Well another hour or so would go by before that happened waiting on the "fit-it" guys to find the missing parts. Sidebar: Parents of small children,o9, persons afraid of heights, or people who value their valuables...this is not the place for you!! Once you get off the elevator, you have to walk across a ledge of a balcony to get to your room. Sorry, that's it for travel to your room options. And if you're luckier than me, all your keys will work and not 1 out of 3 keys. From broken blinds, to slippery corroded tubs, non working electrical outlets, and weak door locks...I will not be staying here again to infinity; In fact, I wonder if I can get reimbursed for the night of sleep I lost on those awfully hard beds? I try to be fair writing reviews but this one has little balance. Oh, here's a cool point...location faces ferris wheel and there's a nice sized parking lot.

We arrived after a long motorcycle ride and check in was quick. After we went to our room, I sat on the bed and a bug dropped on my hand. I brushed it off, but wasn't able to find it. My boyfriend pulled back the sheets to find some spots, so we decided to sleep on top of the covers.....we were just that tired! Instead of staying 2 nights we checked out the next day. Turns out the bugs were bed bugs and we got quite bit up! I wouldn't recommend staying here.....

Decent location, can do way better in all regards

Stayed at beach terrace for a week in august 2017.

Let me start with the pro's, The location is good, right off the board walk, center of the the action. The room layout is decent, of nice size and fairly updated. The view from the motel is great on the balcony. If your a person who enjoys sitting out on the balcony, this hotel offers amazing view of the beach and boardwalk. Motel room was clean for location.

Con's, for starters, the free internet, is unsecured and it never works. I was here 7 days and it never worked. So if you work from home or need Wi-Fi, this is not a the hotel for you. The SWIMMING POOL is not heated. We were here in august and I don't mind cold pools normally, it was freezing. I don't know how a hotel of this caliber can have a pool that isn't heated. No one was in it the entire time. There are two hot tubs, the water looked dirty and there were little kids in them the entire time. I felt bad watching older couples, get squirted in the face with water guns and being splashed. They need a under 10 years old, no in the hot tub rule. Or be with a parent. I got a front row view of another parent smacking her child senseless. The hotel seems to attract that kind of clientele. The staff, are rude, non existent and pretty much useless. A lot of more trashy guests, who don't watch or enforce rules. Which on one hand is nice, I don't like overly strict places, but this hotel needs a lot of attention. The showers have zero water pressure. Worst I have experienced in wildwood. I have stayed at hundreds in this area. I think it is the subpar water head that they utilize. Elevators break all the time and get jammed. I didn't experience this but was warned by other guests and one staff member. So that was a nice thrill every time I rode it.

In closing, you can do way better almost anyplace else. The room itself sufficed, the rest of the hotel left little to be desired. Rude motel staff, trashy clientele, nothing worked or functioned properly. I'd advise staying at blue palms, ocean sands, or many others near by. They offer a much nicer experience.

Mini Vacation

It was just okay, no towel rack in the bathroom. I guess it was torn off and never replaced. A coffee maker but no cups, except for thin little plastic ones. It could use a little updating, especially the bathroom. Good location for the boardwalk, but you still need to take a cab to the ocean.

Some of you are nuts!

My husband and I have been visiting the Beach Terrace for 10 plus years. We just came home 2 weeks ago. We had a wonderful time. The room had all the amenities promised, as usual. You can not get a better view from any hotel with private balconies anywhere. The value is also extremely more than reasonable. As for these aligations about elevators inoperable do not blame the hotel, blame Schindler Elevator Co. for not maintaining and servicing the elevators properly. Hey give them a call!! As for the staff Sherry is a superstar. You people have no idea what kind of stress she can be under, yet
she always smiles and we talk any time
