It's in chellarcovil nearly 18/19 km away from Thekkady. It's a quiet and tiny hotel. Valley view is beautiful. Staff is cooperative. We saw lot of bamboo trees near to this hotel. It's a good hotel to relax.

Loved this place ,its beautiful over looking cumnam valley. Its has beautiful sunrise and natural feel. You get upto clouds going in front of you. Resort owner Josse and his staff was very helpful and disciplined . If you visit yhis place don't forget to explore the nearby surroundings like spice farming amd must spend whole day there. Special thanks to Josse again to provide his Thar (a kind of 4 Wheeler loke Jeep for small safari and arranging for bonfires as well.

I booked the place reading great reviews on TripAdvisor. My review is based on facts for others to decide on their plans.
Fact: This is a retreat or a homestay type rather a resort. Even the name claims so, so keep that in mind.
Location: The place is located 14kms away from Thekkady. The approach is secluded and no public transport will be available. You will be dependent on transport arranged by the owners, which they do for sure. The backside of the retreat overlooks the valley of TN towns and a season Waterfall. The view is quite good.
Room: The room we were offered was above the main block. The room frankly was stinking of dampness and felt like not been opened for few days. The moment I entered the room I realized I made a wrong decision. This is no resort and this is not for a family vacation. It looked more like a PG room. The room size was small and very basic.
Washroom: The washroom was very basic and the door is so thin that it's audible from the bedroom.
Food: We couldn't find most items available and had what they could cook. The breakfast is very good though.
Staff: The place had two staff and both were very very courteous and eager to help. They never left a chance for complaints. Even the owner Jose is available and always there with a smile on his face.
Around: There is pretty much nothing much to do here. One needs to go to Thekkady for anything. This is basically in a village area. Language is a barrier with locals.
Conclusions : This place is for those who love solitude and absolute silence. It's very peaceful but big too lonely also. We were the only family in the entire place. Night time insects make. It difficult to sit outside and one is confined to small Rooms. I have realized homestay and similar types are not for me. The owners and staff is very very good. They go an extra mile every time. Transport is a big hassle and quite costly so keep That in mind. Parking is available here so coming by own vehicle is not an issue.
Recommendation: If you have a group of friends who want to chill in a homely place or you love absolute solitude, this place is for you. I won't recommend this place for family with kids as they will get bored very quickly.
Staff is very good and friendly.

The best part about Beaumont plantation retreat is its location with the awesome view of the mountains and valley. We stayed during the mid of September and it was raining here in there, most of the time the place was blanketed by mist. We stayed in the traditional cottage, though the room was small, it was ample for two of us. Being rainy, the waterfalls you can see from the resort was beautiful and the whole area was very green. Food requires a special mention, it was great food at Beaumont plantation retreat thank you for the hospitality and all the very best.
