We were visiting Gressoney with friends and wanted a base for skiing that would be welcoming, relaxed and convenient. The Alpenrose gave us all of these things, and Silvia and Franco couldn't have been nicer hosts. Our large room was great, with a brilliant shower (much needed after a hard day on the slopes), the food was perfect and we loved the bar (and the home-cooked bar nibbles too). Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area, and with an official downhill training-slope right on the front door-step too.

My family stayed there for skiing over the New Year period and we took two rooms.
The hotel is perfectly located (adjacent to) a small ski area c. 7 miles short of the main Monterosa ski area, which is accessible by a 25 minute bus service from the bus stop 100m away.
The adjacent town of Gressoney St Jean (1.5 miles) is cute, but not wild.
The lady of the house was incredibly welcoming and also very efficient, telling us about banks / buses / skiing etc. We only had breakfast which was local v international and fine.
Rooms warm and comfortable with hot water plentiful.
Overall a hearty recommendation from us!

Albergo Alpenrose is a great hotel. Lovely, family friendly atmosphere and even includes family suites.
The owners are very nice and make everyone very welcome. The rooms are perfect and the traditional Italian food is excellent.
I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a base in Gressoney. It is well located right by a top rated piste area including downhill course and a great point to explore the whole valley.

Wonderful friendly family run hotel. Couldn't have been more helpful. Quiet clean rooms, comfortable beds and excellent food and service in the dining room. Ski bus stop just across the road. One of those lovely hotels you hope not too many people find out about!

We stayed here with our 3 small children. The hotel location was great for us, beside the baby snow park, and right beside a blue run and chair lift to red run. Our room was super, the kids had their own separate sleeping area, we had a sitting room area too. We loved the food, authentic Italian mountain food. The highlight of the stay was however the excellent service from Gino.
