Bellevue is a wonderful place, and I would have happily stayed longer (and will return if the opportunity presents itself). Lovely rooms, and the pool and restaurant areas are great and comfortable. The management were brilliant and super helpful in organizing things and providing advice (best place to buy fabric in Stonetown, etc). Staff were helpful although not super friendly. Food is excellent, although the supply chain seems a bit dodgy, with a number of things unavailable over multiple days (particularly on the breakfast menu). Would also strongly suggest that certain 'blocks' of rooms are designated smoking or non-smoking. The next door neighbours smoked on their patio at 6am, with smoke coming directly into our room.

Stayed at Bellevue for two nights and it was AMAZING even in the torrential rain we arrived in we were blown away! When the sun came out the next day and we saw it in the sunshine it just got better and better! The management are so warm, welcoming and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Our room was stunning the interior design was beautiful. Food is fab and so are the cocktails. The beach and pool are both perfect.
I cannot recommend highly enough for the price!

Had a 3 nights stay at Bellevue, and just could not leave the place ! The all design is well integrated in the environnment, The hotel is located a bit on an Hill, vegetation all around and the beach is only a minute walk. We can spot the sea easily from anywhere in the hotel. There is always a breeze and shades to relax . Great ranges of Dishes , with always a twist, and the pool is small but super well designed, once again overlooking the hills with the sea in the background; Friendly Staff, great communication,

If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay on the east coast of Zanzibar, this is a great spot! When entering Bellevue, you will feel at ease directly. The managers Michael and Lena will do everything to make your stay complete! They can organize any kind of trips for you and they are the ones who definitely are making you feel at home in Bellevue. The place is nicely designed with different local products and colorful African fabrics.
The staff is well trained and the chef absolutely great! His work looks like a little piece of art when it is served and the taste is really good! The menu varies every day a bit so you have plenty to try out during your stay.
When walking through the garden of Bellevue you feel like you are in jungle where you can spot monkeys and bush babies. It is a relaxing atmosphere where you can sit in a hammock, in the lounge area or at the swimming pool.
From some of the rooms you have a beautiful view on the beach. If you want to go to the beach, you will only have to walk a small distance but it is definitely worth it.
When you are looking for a great spot to go kitesurfing, it is best to go to Paje which is the Kitesurfing spot of the island and only takes a 10 minute drive by car.
If you are not seeking for a high class all inclusive hotel but more looking for a home away from home feeling, than you don't have to look further!

We stayed in the honeymoon suite for 5 nights. Room lovely and we had a great balcony view out across to the beach and a good spot to watch the monkeys playing in the trees. Lounge / restaurant lovely and chilled. Food lovely. Staff very friendly and they gave us loads of help to organise a few different trips out. The infinity pool is fab - again a great spot to look out to the beach and watch the monkeys playing. All in all a lovely spot and a great way to end our 2 week trip to Zanzibar- would recommend.
