Big bar area and restaurant but right round the corner from the train station as well so plenty else within walking distance. Room was a bit dated but certainly had everything in it but was quite noisy as facing car park. Seemed to be too hot or too cold most of the time. Breakfast was nice, made to order.

This is our second stay here as we like its location. The first time the room was small and in a very unpleasant place so this time we requested asked for something better. We were put into a much nicer bigger room with the added bonus of a fridge and big window. However, when we went to shut the windows we could see the paint work was filthy on the reverse side as was the paintwork on the windows in the bathroom. Ostensibly the room was clean but on closer inspection was not.
Not great service at breakfast on the second day although one waitress was very helpful.

This was the 3rd or 4th time I've visited/stayed here and it seems to improve each time. I have actually stayed in the same room before, and my sense was that everything was a little bit more 'on the ball'. The room was clean, as was the rest of the hotel, that I saw, with one exception the bathroom and bedroom both had small net curtains in place and they both looked as if they had not been washed for the last 20 years or so.
One improvement over my previous review - they do now offer a vegetarian option for those who fancy sausages with their breakfast.

Just back from a 2 night stay at the Belmont Hotel and we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is a great location - 10 mins to the De Monfort Hall, 10 mins to the city centre less than 5 mins to the train station. The hotel itself is lovely, cosy bar, friendly staff, great car park which is essential when driving & staying in the city centre. The room was perfect - very clean, comfy bed, tea, coffee, hot choc and the bonus of biscuits! Nice and warm once we realised we had to turn up the radiator to get heat - obvious really but took us a while of feeling cold to realise! Great shower too. It was quiet we didn't hardly hear anyone else. The breakfast was very good nice selection of juices, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, croissants, muffins & full English. Coffee wasn't too nice but all great apart from that. If I come back to Leicester The Belmont would always be my first choice.

We recently traveled from the USA to attend our daughter's wedding. The Belmont quickly became the "main hotel " during our stay. The Belmont welcomed us with open arms. The room rates were quite reasonable, the staff extremely helpful. I think that we had a total of 6 rooms booked for the week and not a complaint. We'll be reurning again to visit and plan on staying at the Belmont. Thanks for your hospitality.
