The service and friendly staff matches the amazing view of the surrounding mountains, and the "Weissee" and the trip from Enzingerboden via Gruensee is a nice comfortable relaxing trip. The choice of food at great pricing is very GOOD.

Came on a field trip with university, accommodation was below par, no hot water when we arrived, lights don't work in bathroom, no bathroom bins. The path down to the hut is incredibly dangerous, no one offered to carry our bags down a very rocky steep cliff. No cleaning has been done at all in the hut throughout our stay. Communal areas are nice and spacious. Food selection is random, not good if you are vegetarian/ vegan or have any allergies. Staff very rude towards English customers, even shouting at us, despite the fact we are paying. Lovely location but would not come here again.

Be careful in winter months, road from Uttenberg to Cable car Valkey station might be dangerous, SUV or snow chains necessary.

First, need to say that the location on TripAdvisor is wrong, the hotel is more to the south, just near Weissee. For getting there you have a 10-20 km mountain road with great views, then you need to take two cable lifts; you get into a somehow "remote" location, far away from city/ daily stress, with great view towards the mountains. We did not stay in the hotel, but had lunch in the restaurant of the hotel and had a look around for ammenities. Seems to be a location for mountain, nature lovers, not that "commercial" like Kitzsteinhorn Gletscer. The hotel itself is not brand new and also not a "rustic" one, somewhere in between. The ski slopes were not in a good condition as there was not much snow at the time we were there so cannot have an relevant review on that.
I would recommend this location if you want to spend some days on top of the mountain, far away from noise of the crowded locations.

The location is really awesome, great fresh air, lake views, base camp for hiking. Receptionists were very helpful and nice. The moustache-cook was very helpful as well explaining me about gluten free options.
The breakfast food were average and from low cost products. The waiters in restaurant were not helpful, some of them even rude. Someone should train them and tell that guests are not for them but they are for guest.
