My sister and I stayed overnight, during a recent visit to relatives in the area. A great location, with a short walk to the seafront - and set in beautiful surroundings.
We were made to feel very much at home by the owner, Matthew. The room was very comfortable, clean and well presented - and we were well rested after our stay.
I would highly recommend Berry House to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We stayed here for 3 nights in August and couldn't have found better accommodation if we had booked a 5* hotel - I wish we could have stayed for a fortnight. We thoroughly concur with all the previous glowing reviews.
Matthew and Irena were most welcoming. Everything was perfect. We really couldn't find anything to complain about - no wonder they have such a high rating, they thoroughly deserve it.
We have stayed in some pretty fancy hotels all over the world and this guest house in Littlehampton was as good as any of them- honestly!
Our only complaint - it is so good that it is fully booked most of the time, so difficult to get in . . .

We had a weeks stay booked at this beautiful B and B. But due to ill health it was cut short, it is the best B and B I have ever stayed in. The hosts Matthew and irena were so lovely, very caring and very accommodating. They couldn't do enough for us. I was dissapointed I had to go home would have loved to stay longer. We will definitely be going back, if you are ever thinking of booking a B and B in Sussex, then this is the one to book, it says 5 star on the door and it is 5 star!!!! We stayed in the sparkles room on first floor, beautiful. Irena's pancakes are to die for they were absolutely lovely.

What was the brilliant surprise takeaway??? Well, each morning (we awoke at Berry House three mornings in a row...) Irena bakes the most wonderful pastries. These suddenly appeared as we ate breakfast. Breakfast itself was great with an array of cooked choices following fresh fruit, muesli and other cereals. Back to the pastries - the first morning these pastries were a surprise that we assumed were a 'one off. How wrong we were! Each day these individually boxed delicacies (to consume later in the day) were a delight for each guest to follow the friendliest first class breakfast you could imagine.
We stayed at Berry House as my sister lives nearby. It was the perfect choice for us. Brilliant room with every amenity you could possibly wish.
Would it suit you too? Almost certainly!
Nearby is the recently updated and very attractive Littlehampton harbour with its many restaurants and pubs (some waterside). Like the harbour the nearby beaches are a very pleasant walk from Berry House. Worthing is a short drive (stop at Highdown Gardens and the prehistoric 'fort' on the way) and afternoon tea on Worthing Pier is highly recommended. Arundel is even closer than Worthing - and Arundel with its castle and cathedral is great. Other day trips include Chischester, Portsmouth, Brighton, Petworth House and more...
At the end of each day you then return to Berry House where Irena and Matthew provide one of the VERY BEST B&B's you could imagine. If you have read my reviews you will see that I have given all but 'perfect' reviews to a B&B near Exeter and another near Hayfield in Derbyshire (and you really also should try these). Well, Berry House is also in this league - simply brilliant! I do not understand how hard working people people can do it so well every day - but some do - and Matthew and Irene are simply to be congratulated! Thank you Matt and Irena - we will be back!
Also, in case you think my wife and I stay only at the very best places ... we don't ... but we have decided only to provide reviews where we are genuinely very happy with our experience as we were at Berry House.
