Quiet area just off the highway

Clean and modern with friendly staff. Located just off the highway and right next to the bus station so easy to hop on a bus (we can from Oslo, Norway). The hotel is in a quiet area in a quiet town, and the hotel is located right next to the Arjang Troll which is an huge interesting sculpture with a slide for a tail! Small town but very nice with some good pizza places.

Good deal. Some improvements suggested.

We stayed at the hotel for one night, a stop over driving long distance from Sweden to Norway.

The hotel is located close to the highway which was convenient for us. Plenty of parking. But it is still walking distance to a large supermarket and several restaurants (the town centre is not large).

Plus
+ fridge with some space
+ safe deposit box
+ bathroom can be used by two people at the same
+ time bowling alley if you feel like it
+ window opens
+ under floor heating in bathroom

Minus
- late breakfast start (8 on Sunday) was a bit inconvenient for us, as we had originally planned to be on the road well before that
- shower stall does not prevent "flooding" completely
- hair dryer attached to wall (inconvenient)
- TV very small

So so:
Storage space a bit limited if you want to unpack (which we didn't).

Breakfast:
Bacon and eggs are the only hot options. Some meat and cheeses. Some cereal. Jams are the sweet options. I was missing sausages or meatballs and carbonated water. A bit slow with refilling empty items (had to ask for new yoghurt after waiting for 5 min). All in all ok, but not good.

Considering the affordable rate, I will still give it 4 points.

If you are passing buy Årjäng or visiting the area then Best Western Årjäng is a good choise. The hotel is quiet and in located Årjäng just by the E18. The rooms are simple and clean and usually have afforable rates. The hotel offers a regular hotel buffe and guests have access to a gym on site. There is also a bowling hall on the hotel premises.

We stopped here on the way from Stockholm to Bergen, and it was everything a couple of jet-lagged travelers could hope for - clean, modern, and above all, quiet. No road noise. Nice thick curtains for blocking out the midnight sun, too. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast, friendly staff. Rooms are small, but no more so than other budget european hotels. Would stay here again on the way back.

A gem of a family friendly hotel

We found this hotel on Bookings.com and our GPS. We didn't take the correct entrance and had to circle the hotel, to find it. At first I wasn't sure what to make of it. It has a huge Troll outside, which is an outdoor theater, complete with play area & toilets. It made me smile. Next, inside, we found a friendly staff member, who helped us check in and answered all of our questions, including where to eat, because the hotel restaurant was not open on Sunday. He recommended a place within walking distance & it was very good food, at a very good price. I might add that we had been driving for 10 hours.
We had two double rooms, which were clean, neat & quiet. We needed some exercise and to our delight, we found a bowling hall in the lobby, INSIDE the hotel...what more could you ask for?.... an indoor pool and Fitness center on the same level! Wow. We rented shoes and had a great time at bowling until 9pm, when it closes. (It's a quiet hotel) You can take the lift, or the spiral stairs. Each floor has a conference room, or a quiet gathering area for visiting or reading...a nice touch. This would be a great place for a family reunion, team building, get-away-etc. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, with or without kids. Excellent service, quiet & comfortable.
