What People are saying

DBB 1 night stay

gail s on 20/11/2017 23:06

We got a deal for DBB on a website and plan was to visit nearby Beamish Museum the following day.

As advised couldn’t check in until 3pm which I think is but latte but we we’re allocated complimentary tickets for the Xmas Fayre that was taking place so that was a nice touch !!

We paid £20 extra to get deluxe twin room it was a lovely room with good facilities!! Had ask front desk for face flannels as advised in room info booklet but staff happy to oblige!!

We had a lovely 3 course meal in The Stables Restaurant as part of our deal ! Good food and large portions!!

Also the breakfast the following morning was very nice plenty choice and made to order cooked breakfast.

I was very pleased with our stay and had plenty contact with Susan before or stay who was very helpful with my queries.

Hotel very close to Beamish Museum and receptionist can provide you with a voucher for 25% off.

Would like to return at some point !

Christmas Market

dramsman on 18/11/2017 00:22

went today with friends, free parking bu £4 entry each.
it was worth the entry fee as the indoor Xmas Fair was very, very good.
there lotsof stalls selling all sorts of wares gifts, Jewellery, xmas decorations, clothing, food and Knik Knaks.
food and drink was very nice and there is a bar as well.
normally these sort of events leave me cold but this was exceptional and well worth the money.

Very disappointed

sophshaunm on 15/11/2017 14:01

Visited beamish hall for our anniversary, first room we got was tiny, bed wasn’t even a double more like a queen size no view out of window and was facing the hotels heating system which was very noisy. I asked for a different room which was no better still tiny, small bed. Bathroom ok. Creaky floors, no view again. And very noisy, an outside door kept opening and shutting all night long every 10-15 mins. We had no sleep at all and was shattered the next day. Carpets threadbare. We will not be returning as it totally spoilt our wedding anniversary.

Fantastic setting for hotel

The hotel is an old mansion house/ stately home type configuration, going back to 13th century, I love this old buildings and enquired about its history and architecture whilst on was staying, my room was a premier room and had a huge jacuzzi bath in the bathroom which was great to use and they must get through some water in this hotel. The room was very well decorated with comfortable bed and nice decor, the restaurant served lovely food and the breakfast was excellent, the price for the room was very reasonable for what you get, would without doubt stay again.

Bonfire Night - Let Down

Laura A on 06/11/2017 22:17

Beamish Hall is very beautiful however i'm sad to say that this was the only good thing about tonight. This was our first bonfire night at Beamish Hall and will definitely be our last. We spent £30 on tickets for 5 of us including a £5 car parking ticket, however they only ended up checking the car parking ticket and did not ask to see our admission tickets. Even though there was hundreds of people there, there was only one burger van, one sweets van and a small nacho stall (which ran out of nachos and offered us boiled potatoes with cheese??) Queues were miles along and took us about an hour to be served. By the time we had been served the bonfire was already lit, fireworks started soon after and lasted approximately 10 minutes. The whole evening was just a huge disappointment, I could have gone to my local bonfire evening for free and saw a bigger, longer display. Will not be attending again.
