In August we took my father to Yorkshire, and stayed for 2 days at the Crown Hotel as it's situated ideally for touring Yorkshire. Lovely and spacious inside with different rooms to sit in, which was a plus. The food was first class and the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, not overly large but acceptable. The hotel had a very friendly atmosphere. Would definitely go again.

Stayed here for a couple of nights on a Travelzoo deal. Lovely old hotel with lots of history and character. The food in the restaurant is fresh and beautifully cooked, both evening meal and breakfast were cooked to order and plenty of choice. The leisure facilities were very relaxing, loved the pool and jacuzzi. All the staff are very friendly and we had to compliment Tracey the manager on such a lovely place we really did enjoy our couple of days.

Currently staying in the hotel on a short break. We are not far from home but this is somewhere we have not explored before. We are really glad we came. Our pace has been slower, very relaxing. Our room is large, nicely furnished, beautifully clean and well appointed. The bed is comfortable and the room is well lit, unusual as hotel rooms are often quite dull.
Breakfast is cooked to order and there is a good choice. We have also eaten in the restaurant for an evening meal. This was very good and service excellent. The pool area is clean and inviting. There is also a steam room, sauna and jacuzzi.
All the Staff are helpful and very friendly. There are plenty of areas to sit and relax. It has been a lovely treat. Thanks everyone.

Stayed overnight. Nice village. Hotel has a lot of history. Much bigger than I expected so everyone not on top of each other. The room was VERY warm but I think we were over the spa. Pool area nice and a bit of a bonus. Restaurant reasonable and food very nice. Would stay again.

Another Travelzoo deal in a very nice and comfortable hotel in a little gem of a village.
Plenty of bars and lounges to accommodate both guests and visitors.
Good restaurant reasonably priced without being over bearing.
