Family recently moved to this area, and I was delighted to find a neighborhood hotel with good reviews nearby. Very clean and thoughtfully renovated rooms, with amenities I wouldn't normally expect in a Best Western. Every single staff member was friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and breakfast was nicely laid out and restocked frequently - they even pack little "on the run" breakfast bags for early risers who need to head out the door quickly. Great valet parking garage next door - though be prepared that the price is hefty ($40 a day, including in / out if you're staying at the hotel); parking in this area is very difficult, so not a lot of other reasonable options. Only other item I'd like to see changed is that on weekends (not sure whether all the time or just on weekends deemed "heavy area traffic" weekends - my weekend was the weekend before Thanksgiving), 2-night minimum F / Sa night stays are required, at least up until about 1-2 weeks before the date; it seems to me that this would push a good number of advance reservers (whom I would think have good potential to be loyal repeat customers) to book elsewhere who might want to stay here for only 1 weekend night, which I question as a long-term business strategy in this area - not a heavy tourist area (except in the thick of baseball season). Happy to make what I feel is a very good value discovery in a city which can be pricey, and one with excellent service to boot.

This was our second stay. Our son is DePaul student. We drove out to pick him up. The staff is so helpful and friendly. The hotel is charming and cozy. Rooms are clean and comfortable. You can walk to many restaurants and train. Hotel offered DePaul family rate. Breakfast offered hot and cold food items. Drinks and hot coffee all day. Area was clean and continually re stocked.

Considerate staff who listened to our problems about the heating system issues and then adjusted our rate for our stay. The breakfast area had decent food, but the room where it was served was cramped and difficult to navigate.

The hotel property was clean, well maintained and attractive. The staff that I came in contact with were accommodating, friendly and eager to serve. I felt safe and secure and the morning breakfast was eye appealing and very good. I would definitely return and recommend this property.

Booked a queen single but the heater didn’t work so we were moved to a larger dbl double and it was fine. We went from the first floor to the third and unfortunately there was a very unhappy baby next to us and the poor parents just couldn’t get it calmed down. They finally were successful but it didn’t last long and they actually had to take the child outside about 2AM! The hotel staff did talk to the parents but there just wasn’t anything they could do. Even though we were a bit tired from the crying child incident, the breakfast the next day was very nice. Lots of choices and plenty of food. The front garden area and outdoor seating are probably lovely in the spring and summer.
