This hotel is slightly outdated, but so are many hotels throughout Europe. The rooms are clean and we didn't spend much time in there since we were mostly exploring the beautiful streets and restaurants of the city. The staff in general is nice..some being more friendly than others.
There is a nice little lounge area and side room to do some reading if you don't want to be in your room.
Travel Tip: If you don't have a specific breakfast place that you want to go to then I'd recommend making it down in the morning to eat what they serve. It is delicious and all you can eat. Having a great breakfast to start the day is one of the best ways to travel with energy and not have to carry as many snacks throughout the day.
Next time I visit Venice, I'd like to check out a different hotel, but this one was pretty good and didn't really have anything negative that was unbearable.

Hotel Bisanzio is in a perfect location. After getting of the water taxi we had a 7 minute walk to the Hotel. To all the wonderful sights we wanted to see in Venice it was an easy walk. When we had to leave we walked to the water taxi that took us to he airport.
The staff were very helpful. Our room was lovely and even though it's so close to the main promenade it's very quiet. The room was much bigger than I thought it would be. Breakfast was very nice. A great stay at a very nice hotel.

We were glad to find it was close to where our water taxi dropped us.
We had a family unit with one big room & one smaller room.
The beds in the self catering room were low & uncomfortable but the second room had lovely beds.
Marco at reception was very helpful & entertaining.
We stayed in the new wing which was beautiful furnished.

We chose the Bizanzio based on location and the previous good reviews. Pleased to say it fully met with our expectations.Unless you are in a hurry and wish to use a water taxi, the vaparetto (Alilaguna) from the airport stops close to the hotel making the transfer of luggage quite straightforward. All the staff we met could not be faulted and there was a quite adequate choice at breakfast. We were in room 303 which has a private terrace ideal for a break from endless exploring.

This was our first trip to Italy and thankfully we were lucky enough to book all of our hotels in great locations within each city. Venice I though would be the most difficult given the layout of the city and our lack of knowledge regarding the transportation and the Vaorettos. The Hotel Bisanzio is situated in the center of Venice, less than 300 meters from St. Mark’s Square, in the heart of the picturesque Castello district. We didn't know it before we arrived soon learned but it is an amazing part of Venice that when the day starts to unwind people leave the area and Venice becomes yours to explore. Great local restaurants and the Hotel is top notch as far as staff an amenities and do not miss the breakfast. I want to to go back already
