This hotel was a short walk from the San Giovanni train station. When you walk out of the train station, you walk straight ahead, down a set of stairs, cross the street at the street light, walk about a half of block and take a right into what looks like an alley. The hotel is about a block down this alley/street. A very easy walk that takes about 5 minutes. The Best Western is located about a 10 minute walk from the lake and other attractions, but out of the chaos and noise of the street traffic. We had a king bed room and found the room to be a comfortable size. There was a view of the Cathedral from the bathroom window. I know, who stands in the bathroom to take in the view; however, at night the Cathedral is lit and it was a nice view. Other than that, there is not a view. The room was a good size, clean, quiet, with a convenient location. They had a good buffet breakfast for 3 euro. The staff was very helpful and friendly. All-in-all, this is a good choice when visiting Como.

Stayed here as part of a group of 7. After reading mixed reviews we turned up not knowing what to expect.
I was pleasantly surprised. Lovely comfortable bed with good pillows. Lots of clothes storage and mini fridge. Also air- conditioning, just as well as it was still pretty hot for October.
Our bathroom was nicely tiled with cubicle shower. Little selection of toiletries for those who may have forgotten something.
Buffet continental breakfast was vast in way of choice. Mini chocolate croissants are to die for. We were glad to find there was a small selection of breakfast items that we're gluten free that were suitable for my sister who sometimes struggles.
On the whole, a great stay in Como for a very reasonable price.

Not the most modern but service is excellent and at any time of the day. Rooms are clean and neat but deco needs to be freshened up. Good location and wide choice at breakfast. Staff is very helpful and Polite.

As we planned to arrive around 6:30pm, unfortunately, there was traffic jam from Luzcern to Como (by Flix Bus), maybe it was Friday, many people drive to Milano. finally, we arrived at train station around 8:30pm, . Within 10 min from train station (Como San Giovanni Train Station), Hotel was not located in the centre of Como and quiet area, but around 15 min to centre.
The room was little bit old, there was no kettle. The breakfast is standard buffet.
Luggage was just left in the hotel lobby, without any luggage tag issued.

Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights.... double room - the room was soo small you couldn't swing a mouse in it never mind a cat!!! We had a wedding - i needed to iron a few shirts - in order for me to get the ironing board in the room i had to kneel on the bed to use it!!! Breakfast was extra and horrible too..... never seemed to have much and what they did have wasn't ateable in my opinion. I would NOT stay here again - not even for free
The bed was like sleeping on a slab of concrete - located on a busy road
