Stayed here in November. We were greeted by an extremely friendly and helpful member of staff behind the reception desk, unfortunately I can’t remember his name, but he’s the template in how everyone should be dealt with at a hotel reception desk. The hotel building is no doubt very old, the decor inside matches it but is tasteful. Our room was lovely, quiet, warm, and plenty of room in the bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable. We didn’t eat at all in the hotel, choosing to head out for breakfast amongst the natives each morning but our friends said it was good. It’s a good base from where to enjoy all that the old city has to offer and only a 20 minute walk into the new town .

Lovely old building with great character inside the City walls. Staff friendly and helpful and parking reasonable. Room was very small but had everything. Breakfast was poor. Unfortunately many restaurants/bars closed as out of season but those open were friendly and welcoming.

Being a chain you can expect rooms to be as good as on any other Best Western hotel. However what we found remarkable was the service from the whole staff working there: from cleaners to the receptionist. They speak perfect english, their advices are useful and concise and the best of all, they treat you with friendliness and respect at the same time. Thanks a lot to all the team.

Great hotel! It is INSIDE the old city / castle walls. Use the GPS coordinates to go to the welcome centre (inside the gate) and they will send a shuttle driver down to meet you and take you to the parking lot. After ditching your car and arriving, you will love the hotel and being inside the old city walls! Very clean and modern inside the hotel. Excellent spot to stay. Very friendly staff too!

The 20 Euro for parking was the best investment: we pulled into the moat below the city wall, a tiny hotel van guided us to a parking lot and then took us over the drawbridge, under archways, through narrow streets and corridor-type lanes to the hotel. The entrance to our room at the back was through a lovely garden with large shady trees, The room was large, comfortable, big bathroom and a lovely patio on the garden. Tea/coffee making facilities made it perfect. The entire walled town is within a few steps. Although the cite is overrun with tourists during the day, by evening everything is quiet and mysterious.
Breakfast is nice and plentiful.
