Comfortable modern hotel

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is modern, with clean and comfortable rooms, and it's very quiet at night. The location is just a short walk from the town's many restaurants and cafes. Breakfast was very nice.
Expensive but comfy

105 euro for a very basic room seemed quite expensive. Bed was extremely comfortable but rest of room fixtures/ fittings looked dated. We booked the morning of our stay via booking.com and they couldn't find it when we checked in. So not sure what would have happened if they'd already sold the room to other people
Hard to find anything amiss. Enjoy the town, views and the hotel.

After a long hard day the welcome by the co-owner Dominique was great and she was very kind and helpful. Our room was very well appointed with a balcony and with great views. Not far from the town centre (closed off next day due to a flower market) and along the main road so easy to get to but the hotel is set back. Limited parking spaces outside the hotel. The bar, the lounges are very comfortable and a nice garden to relax in.
The food was excellent with a wide range of local wines from small producers. There is a “Ardoise” set menu which seems to be the ½ pension version. One point to make about the menu, although very good, there was only 2 meat dishes; pork or lamb but both superb. I’m not a veggie but I did not see any main course choice but it is France.
Two things to note and it is nothing to do with the hotel. The Col d’ Aubisque is closed 6 months of the year and the only way you know that is when you reach the col. No “Ferme” signs (from the Gourette end). Also take care at Lourdes, very easy to end up in the horrors of the town centre and not the ring road.
This said the hotel is very good and Argeles and its surroundings are worth a visit. Our thanks to Dominique for all her kindness
Great place for cyclists

A group of 8 of us stayed 3 nights while cycling in the area (Tourmalet - awesome!). Rooms comfortable, dinner at Le Petit Pois was delicious (we ended up eating there all three nights), they brought us a little extra pasta to help us up the hills the next day. As others have said, the staff was fabulous. Dominique made us feel very welcome; and her mother (mother in law?) made sure we enjoyed our breakfast
Excellent base for cycling trip

Can only endorse everything said in the previous review by 109Hotshoes. Thoroughly recommended. The highlights were probably the exceptionally friendly service and the quality of the evening meals but I can't really think of anything to fault.
